About this house rental

Come enjoy this beautiful waterfront retreat located in a quiet cove on the private side of Lake Anna! This 3,510 square foot home was built in 2016 and offers 6 bedrooms and 4 full baths. Spend your days relaxing at the water’s edge on the patio or the spacious, private dock. The cove location allows you to swim and float in peace without the worry of boats or wakes. This spacious home boasts an open floor plan on the main level with a large, fully-equipped kitchen including a double oven and an enormous island that seats 6 and a great room offering three large sofas surrounding a gas fireplace and 65” television. The top floor offers 4 bedrooms, including 1 master suite overlooking the lake. The walkout basement is a perfect place for the kids which provides a bunk room with a 55” television, full bath, wet bar, full-size refrigerator, games, fusball, and an entertainment area with 3 large sofas and a 65” television. We welcome you to bring your family and create new vacation memories that will last a lifetime!

Check-in was easy and the host was communicative. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils and cooking accessories. The group of 5 women LOVED the seating space, which fit everyone comfortably. We sat on the dock and enjoyed the water view, then moved to the fire pit once the chill set it. We were disappointed in the overall cleanliness of the space. I reached out to the host, who apologized for the mess we walked into. We understand that it was the off season (early November) and probably hadn't had someone in there since the end of summer, but there were spiderwebs throughout the house in the corners, fan blades, and under the tables. The countertops had also not been wiped cleaned, and there were crumbs and sticky residue on the countertops; the bathroom sinks and tubs hadn't been wiped out of hair. While the sheets were clean and provided in bags for each bedroom, the mattress pads and pillow case covers don't appear to have been washed in some time. We would love to return to this house as the setup and layout is great for large groups; however, the cleanliness is a lot to be desired.

This is our fourth consecutive year staying at this house for our annual family fishing trip (all men). The house works really well for us and is a great base for our fishing trip. And yes we caught lots of fish and had a great time again this year. There was some minor issues with spider webs which we cleaned up but clearly not a big deal.

We’ve stayed here twice and will be back again. Easy, shallow entry to the lake for the young’uns, well-equipped kitchen for the cooks, lots of entertainment and outdoor activity options, lightly traveled roads for two bikers.

This was my third time at this property. My family had a great time each year, but this time there was constant construction noise from 2 neighboring properties and the house is in need of an inside paint job due to some wall damage. Nothing serious, wear and tear, but lots of dings. However, we enjoyed the new couches. The kitchen is wonderful, with a LOT of dishes, glasses and cooking supplies. Having 4 full bathrooms is a luxury and there are plenty of towels. The lake water was 97 degrees! We saw large fish jumping every day, but only caught bluegills. We'd definitely like to return.

We had a great time! There was enough room for all of us. Kitchen is well-stocked and large. Lots of space to hang out in. We used the kayaks and canoe and enjoyed fishing from the dock.

We rented the house for our daughters graduation from UVA. The house was wonderful. Very clean!!!! The set up of the house was great for a large gathering. The kayaks were used a lot. The water was a great temperature and very enjoyable even in mid May. Game room was a plus. Would recommend 100%!!!!!

This house was the perfect spot for our outing with friends and family. Very spacious with plenty of room for everybody! During our stay there was a slight issue, but the owner addressed it promptly and professionally, offering a partial refund as a resolution. We appreciated their responsiveness and commitment to guest satisfaction so much that I couldn’t bring myself to review it for anything below 5 stars. We’ll be going back to this house in the future, most definitely!

Very nice house . Perfect quiet lake location, private,easy to keep an eye on the kids. Everyone enjoyed fishing(lots of fish) kayaks,canoeing and swimming. The house was clean, spacious, and well appointed. The kayaks and water toys were perfect and our kids spent hours in the water. The end of the cove is excellent for kids to swim and play without the worry of boat traffic. The house has everything you may need to be comfortable and the kitchen is fabulous! It was perfect in everyway for our family vacation. If I could change thing, it would be that the water temp wasn't 94 degrees and above at spots. This has no reflection on the house however, it is a circumstance of the private side of Lake Anna. Hope to come back sometime!

This was the perfect house for our large family. The owner was great to communicate with and had the house well stocked (dishes, utensils, pots and pans etc) and clean. Beautiful house in a quiet cove. We are a group of fishing couples that frequently fish Lake Anna and this is the one of best houses we have stayed in. The owner was very responsive to questions and needs including rescheduling our booking due to inclement weather. The house is beautiful, well equipped, comfortable and accommodating to our mixed group. Easy access neighborhood ramp and enough parking at the house for trailers;however you do need to back down the driveway due to limited turn radius. We are definitely returning to this house!

The house was perfect for our needs and so much more! We chose the house due to it’s location close to King’s Dominion for the Winterfest. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and dared a qucik dip in the freezing cold lake. We roasted marshmallows and made s’mores. House was very clean, kitchen had everything we needed, lots and lots of space!

House is very nice. The house instructions were thorough and clear. The host was responsive when we had a question. Probably one of the nicest places we've stayed so far (yearly get together). We really enjoyed staying there. It was great that there kayaks and canoes and life jackets for us to use. The washing machine and dryer with ample laundry tabs since was a bonus as one of us got wet after kayaking. It was nice not to take wet clothes home! The dishwasher cleaned really well. We liked the layout of the living room. We had lots of space for playing games, crafting, eating, and lounging. We liked the big table and the gas fireplace. The fire pit down by the lake was terrific. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with cooking and tableware, including kid dishes. No spices or cooking oil, bring everything you might need as well as TP. The beds were very soft, too soft for our group. Very thin and did not provide support. The house is next to a road and you can see the road from the backyard. In the fall there were very few cars on the road, might be a different story in summer.

This was the second consecutive year we have booked this house for our annual guys fishing trip. This house has everything the five of us need. Plenty of space and very comfortable accommodations. Just about everything you could ask for in a vacation rental this place had. Gorgeous setting. Lake was perfect for the 4-year-old because it was shallow for yards. Lots of lake stuff: kayaks, canoe, floats, tons of chairs, fire pit, dock, and on and on. House too. Fully outfitted kitchen. Good biking on lightly traveled roads, if that’s your thing; not too hilly.

This was our 2nd visit to Lake Anna, but 1st visit to this property. There were a few issues with the septic system but the owner was easy to reach and prompt with having service companies handle the issue, so it did not negatively impact our vacation. There is minimal cell service at this property, but we had no issues with the internet wifi at the house or dock. The house is probably the cleanest we've stayed in and definitely the best stocked for a big family. The owner is also the most organized I've dealt with through vrbo or other owner rental sites. Great outdoor space with plenty of shallow water for our younger kids and deeper water off the dock for jumping into. We loved the kayaks, especially the junior kayaks! There is a road adjacent to the side of the house that overlooks the end of the cove and dock, but it's not a busy road and the far side of the dock still felt private. The owner listed nearby activities but we preferred to stay at the lake fishing, swimming, and kayaking. With 6 bedrooms and 4 baths, there was plenty of space for our 3 families. The extra fridge and ice maker were the iciing on the cake since we prepped all of our meals at the house. We've already booked for a week next year!

Our family of 14 really enjoyed our time together on Lake Anna. Property is as listed with an outstanding kitchen . We even made a cake! Dining table was long enough to handle a large puzzle at one end and meals at the other. We used all the provided kayaks and the canoe along with renting a pontoon boat. Kids caught quite a few fish from the shaded dock. Great fun, would rent again.
