Welcome to "Kailua Kai" - Island living at its finest. This is a beautiful, yet casual beachfront home located on the Windward side of Oahu, 30 minutes from Honolulu and approximately 1 mile from the center of Kailua Town. Enjoy spectacular sunrises over Kailua Bay, the scenic Ko'olau Mountain Range and outlying islands right from the front lanai. The home enjoys cool breezes that come off the ocean, a large open floor plan, spacious guest rooms and an expansive ocean front, manicured lawn with swaying palm trees and the ocean beyond. Guests can enjoy swimming, body surfing, paddling and fishing right from the backyard! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for a culinary feast, or Kailua Town is just a 5 minute drive with its' myriad of restaurants to choose from.

We had a wonderful stay at this home in Kailua! The location right on the beach was absolutely beautiful and just as amazing as the photos. This was our first time staying in Kailua, and we loved being away from the crowds and getting more of a local feel.One thing we especially loved was that there were so many shopping and food options within about a mile of the property, yet the home itself still felt peaceful and away from it all. It really was the best of both worlds.The home was very clean, comfortable, and met all of our needs. We traveled with multiple couples, so having a bathroom for each bedroom was a huge plus and made the stay so convenient. The host was also very responsive and easy to communicate with throughout our trip.The weather during our stay was perfect for a home without AC, and the multiple fans throughout the house were definitely helpful. We could see it potentially being less comfortable during hotter weather, but it worked well for us during our trip.We had two rental cars and had no issues with parking. The listing may mention space for additional vehicles, but guests should know that more cars could make getting in and out a bit difficult since the property is located at the end of a long one lane private drive shared by 4 homes.We would absolutely stay here again!

PHH was exceptionally professional and easy to work with. Kim took our experience over the top with being extremely personable and friendly. Boy, that goes a long way! The location could not be beat. We appreciate how equipped the home was with beach related accessories. The kitchen was also very well equipped. The welcome basket was a nice touch and very appreciated. It would have been helpful to have some laundry detergent to get us started on a few loads of laundry. I do believe you need to do some minor maintenance on the property (dishwasher seal leaking and master bathroom sink handles leaking considerably). I did call PHH following our stay to let them know of these issues.
