Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would consider staying again. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and located in a great area. It was about a 10-minute walk to La Placita and less than a 5-minute walk to SuperMax, which made getting around very convenient. Although there is no assigned parking, we had no trouble finding street parking each evening. The hosts provided several thoughtful extras that made the stay feel more welcoming and homey, including additional toiletries, bottled water, snacks, beach towels, and beach chairs. These amenities were greatly appreciated and added value to our stay.

There were a few areas that could be improved. The oven was not working during our stay, and the water pressure was quite low. We also experienced some confusion during check-in regarding where to find the lockbox and entry instructions. Fortunately, once we connected with one of the hosts, they provided clear directions and we were able to access the apartment without further issues. The biggest challenge was communication and the payment process. It appeared that multiple people may have been managing messages, which sometimes led to inconsistent information and slower response times. This was especially noticeable when we had questions regarding taxes, payments, and check-in procedures. I was also surprised to learn that payments were processed through a third-party platform rather than directly through Booking.com. The payment schedule and charge amounts did not match what I expected based on the Booking.com reservation details, and there were multiple separate charges and payment requests throughout the booking process. At one point, there was confusion regarding taxes and the total amount due, which created unnecessary stress leading up to our trip. To the hosts’ credit, the issue was ultimately resolved and the final amount honored matched the price quoted through Booking.com. However, greater transparency regarding how payments are processed, what charges guests should expect, and faster communication would make the experience much smoother.
