We had a really enjoyable 3 days

Lovely cottage, in a great village. Loved our coffee at ‘ Y Sospan’ and our meals and drinks out at the ‘Torrent’ and pizza at the ‘stag inn’ It’s a great spot for walks especially for ‘Cadair Idris’ and the ‘Precipice’ walk.

Parking wasn’t so great but managed to get a space down the village. Could have been a little more equipped, as in hand soap, more toilet roll, an airer for drying washing, and cleaning products. This isn’t a criticism, but based on our experiences staying at lots of cottages, it wasn’t as well equipped as some we have stayed at, but a lovely modern cottage, we would recommend this and stay here again. 😊

Good location but disappointing property facilities

Good location. Good shower. Good sized downstairs space.

Dirty carpets (filled the vacuum cleaner 4 times upon arrival. Thin/worn towels. All pillows were firm and overfilled. Double beds had high footboards, making it cramped for a tall (+6ft) person. No instructions on when bins are collected, whether to recycle items or what to do with bed linen at the end of the stay.

As described and great little property. Very close to town. Good facilities.

Parking very difficult, no access to unload with a large estate car due to tiny lane leading to property. Not the fault of owners at all, but be aware of access difficulties.

Enjoyable stay in a beautiful village

Open plan lounge and dining area great for cosy evenings in. The bathroom and shower were good. The beds were comfortable. Lots of walks straight from the door. Local amenities are close by and friendly pubs good to eat and drink in.

The kitchen could do with more drinking and wine glasses. We couldn't find the bins for the house and had to bag the rubbish up and leave it in the garden.

Just brilliant

Location was excellent, Dolgellau is a very nice place, and easy access to a lot of areas of interest. The property is very comfortable, spacious, and very well presented. After a day of exploring the area, with heavy rain, arriving to a place that feels nice and cosy (and bear in mind is June, so we didn't even use the log burner!) felt really nice!

The only downsides that I can appoint to the property, and the only reason why I didn't give a 10 was because there was quite big chunks of dust and "fluff" under the bed, bedside tables and some corners on the rooms .(having a 2 year old dropping things that roll around made me notice all that). But the worse part is really the struggle to find a parking spot (in particular if you have a big estate like me), as the roads are all very narrow. There is a big car park at the edge of Dolgellau, but when you don't know it and are trying to find the property, you may inadvertily end up on one of the very narrow streets and struggle a bit. But again. those are really the only 2 things that I can point out as a "negative" on the all stay.

A peaceful, comfortable stay that gave us everything we needed for a truly special weekend.

We had a really lovely stay at the cottage. It was clean, cosy, and well-equipped—everything we needed for a special weekend. The space was peaceful, comfortable, and felt like a real home away from home. One important thing to mention is that the listing says it’s a one-bedroom property, but it actually has three bedrooms, which was a wonderful surprise and worked perfectly for our group. It might just be an error on the listing, but it’s worth updating as it makes a big difference when planning a stay. The location was great too—quiet but close to everything. And the host was lovely and very helpful. We’d definitely stay again!
