Location was fantastic , the staff were very friendly and left us a lovely bunch of flowers ,along with a card and wine as we had just been married . It was a lovely gesture and made us feel special . They were also very easy to get in contact with should there have been any serious issues .
The surrounding area was tidy / dog mess free and there was a parking bay directly outside the lodge .
I would say the chalet was good value for money and it was easy to access upon check in . The chalet also provided towels , iron & ironing board , hoover , kitchen appliances , tea/ coffee /sugar etc .
The bathroom even had shampoo & conditioner provided .
Outside there was a lovely seating area and it felt very private . I didn't feel that the other chalets were right on top of us ( in some other places we have stayed the lodges were very close to each other ) . The chalet was perfectly located near plenty of tourist attractions and the town of Fort William which has all the amenities you would need on holiday , shops , supermarkets , restaurants , pubs etc . We travelled to Eilean Donan , then on to Skye and the roads from Torlundy to our destination had some beautiful scenery . I would say it was perfectly situated for a tour of the West Coast . The hosts had also provided a binder with helpful info on local amenities and attractions which is really helpful for guests .
All in all our stay was lovely and we would definitely stay again .
Chalet was rather tired/ dated , and this may put some people off . It very much depends on what your own expectations are , I think most people these days expect more modern accommodation/decor so may find these chalets disappointing , however it didnt concern us too much as we are not overly fussy . There was some small chunks of cake from the previous occupant on the shelves beside the bed and our dog found a used tissue under the sofa , so the chalet owners may want to speak with the cleaning company as this could end up costing them customers .
We were asked when we left about damage to a duvet ( it was suggested it was our dog ) however we have a miniture Dachshund who is tiny and he wasn't able to get onto the bed/ furniture , so I assume it was also from the previous occupant . When I explained this they were very courteous and wished us a safe onward journey etc . A lot of places may have tried to continue to blame us (or charge us) for damage that wasn't done by us , but they didn't .
The Internet unfortunately wouldn't connect while we were there as apparently the password provided was wrong, however this didn't concern us too much as we had plenty of data on our phones .
So although there were a few tiny issues , overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend them to others . They provided a perfect location , excellent value for money , a friendly service , easy access to the chalet upon check in , the surrounding area of the chalet was kept tidy and was free of litter / dog mess , and they were easy to get hold of should there have been any serious issues .
I would recommend these hosts/chalets to others and would be happy to stay again .
