Oishe View

The view from our room, the helpful staff. While it is a no frills guest house, it was comfortable and the view from our room was awesome. Special thanks to Ann who was extremely helpful and patient with us dealing with all the issues that arose with our room. The other staff were also helpful, including Nado at reception who took awhile to warm up.

Our room was not ready when we arrived as there was a mix up i believe which led to the room not being cleaned when we arrived. Nonetheless we were treated to coffee at the Cafe next door while we wait. Then found that the hot water was not working in the evening but the staff managed to get someone to fix it the next day.

I was attending an event at the nearby Rooms Kazbegi, Oishe View is directly adjacent, which was very convenient. The very comfortable room had a balcony with sliding glass doors offering a magnificent view of Mt Kazbegi; the views at sunrise were unforgettable. Oishe View is part of 1740 Hotel, it does not have a separate reception, and you enter via that property, something that was not immediately obvious to me.

In the shared living room on the ground floor, there is a WiFi router, it is active, and there is a sign with the password. You can connect to it. But there is no actual Internet access. If you need to connect to the Net, you can head next door to Hotel 1740 and use the (working) WiFi there.
