Alcântara Urban Retreat

Muy cómodo, bien situado y muy acogedor. Con aire acondicionado en las dos estancias.

Todo estaba bien, tal cual las fotos de Booking.

The great place - easy to access all necessary places. Close to cafes and restaurants. I liked terrace and unique style of apartments. Great coffee.

Problems with parking. You can park for free on the street near the apartment, but if there are no available spaces (which is almost always the case), finding parking becomes a real challenge. On one occasion, we spent an hour driving around looking for a free parking space. The app provided for private parking was not very helpful, as all the available parking options were quite far from the apartment.

The apartment is in a very good location, next to LX Factory, with the river, restaurants and local art shops within walking distance. Lisbon’s historic center is only a short Bolt ride away (under €10). The apartment itself is well equipped, with a good-sized TV, reliable Wi-Fi, a functional kitchen and bathroom, plenty of storage and a very comfortable large bed. The sofa bed for our child was perfectly adequate. We especially liked the high ceilings, bright white interior, built-in furniture, sliding doors, and the small private veranda, which was a lovely place to relax.

The main downside was that we had to keep the window shutters closed most of the time for privacy, as the ground-floor apartment faces the street and a restaurant terrace opposite. This meant there was no real view and the apartment felt a little enclosed. Street noise could also be heard in the front room where the sofa bed is located. While the entrance door locked properly, it did not feel particularly robust, and I wasn’t fully confident that the locking mechanism or the lower side panel fastening would withstand a strong force.

Hay muchas tiendas y restaurantes en la zona, y la estación de bus/tranvía que lleva al centro de la ciudad y a Belén está muy cerca. Se puede parquear el coche en la calle, es bastante seguro.

El apartamento, aunque moderno, está descuidado y mal mantenido. Las fundas del sofá cama, el colchón del sofá cama y uno de los cojines estaban cubiertos de manchas de suciedad. La cocina tampoco estaba muy limpia, la tostadora y la nevera tenían restos de comida y el contenido de los cajones estaba muy desordenado. Finalmente, aunque éramos 4 personas, solo dejaron 3 toallas. Lamentablemente, no lo recomiendo.
