ARTs at Porta Venezia I

We really liked the apartment’s excellent location, reasonable price, and beautiful, authentic interior. The historical character and charming decorative details gave the place a unique atmosphere. The apartment was generally clean, the bedding was fresh, and the kitchen was well equipped with plenty of dishes, spotless wine glasses, a corkscrew, tea, coffee, and other essentials. Having an iron available was also very convenient.

Unfortunately, several issues affected our stay. Although Wi-Fi was listed among the amenities, we couldn’t access a reliable connection. This was particularly inconvenient as we needed to work online during our trip. The hairdryer only blew cold air, making it difficult to dry our hair, especially since the apartment itself was quite cold. The remote control batteries were also almost dead, so we had to swap them between devices to operate the TV or air conditioning. There is a bar directly below the bedroom windows, and the noise from people outside was quite noticeable, especially at night. Only one duvet was provided for two guests. When I became ill and asked for additional bedding so my friend could sleep separately on the sofa, we were informed that it would cost €20 per person. We understood that the apartment had one double bed, but the lack of flexibility was disappointing. Finally, clearer instructions regarding rubbish disposal, returning the keys, and using the apartment’s facilities would have been helpful, as we had to contact the host several times for basic information.

Comfortable, clean and much more spacious than a hotel room within similar budget. Close to Centrale and Republica metro. Responsive and helpful staff. Supermarket and cafes right on the doorstep. Nespresso coffee machine in the room (bring your own pods).

Our only issue was noise - nothing the owners can prevent, there is a bar downstairs open until 1.30am and a tramline nearby.

The apartment is really very nice, the bed is comfortable, and it has air conditioning.

For half of my stay the Wi-Fi wasn't working; I informed the staff but the problem wasn't resolved.
