Coastal Escape with Balcony & River Dart Views

This apartment is in a perfect location. There is a cafe, village shop, deli and pub within minutes. And of course the car and passenger ferries to Dartmouth Parking is directly opposite in Darthaven marina carpark for a charge The views are really pretty and the flat is nicely furnished and very light and airy I had all my queries about property and access answered by Paul very promptly via the website

I think the “ gift” box is unnecessary. I would rather have a couple of dishwash tablets left under the sink. And some hand and shower wash in pump dispensers would be appreciated. Nothing to wash your hands on arrival after a long journey. Also please try out the shower in ensuite bathroom….

The property is well appointed and does have lovely views across the Dart to Dartmouth. The lounge area is very nice to relax in. Parking is relatively easy (in the nearby marina) but is extra cost

The shared bathroom was clean but smelled awful; there is something wrong with the drains. The en-suite bathroom did not have that problem. There are changes of level, especially walking into the kitchen - these are highlighted but it's still very easy to trip and would make this property unsuitable for some. The property is managed by Your Devon Escapes who BOMBARD you with emails and forms etc. and the requirement for an extra deposit. We were not using the property for a holiday and the family was going through an extremely stressful time. All the emails were insensitive and extra stress and hassle which we did not need - so much so that I nearly cancelled and was also worried that this was all a scam. Possibly if booked direct through Your Devon Escapes as a holiday folk don't mind all this extra communication, but a booking at short notice through Booking.com should be a flag to indicate that something could be different
