    For the money we paid we were happy enough. I found the bed to be comfortable. Reception staff were very nice and spoke good English; I suspect it might be their family business. I chose the location thinking it would be less noisy being a bit out of town. Wrong! There is a building site across the road, and although it's not on a main road, the sound insulation of the property is non-existent. I could hear everything that was happening on the street as if it was happening right inside the room. Adding this to the fact that getting a taxi into old town is a mission, and there are no highly rated food venues around. Other than that, the room looks like the photos but maintenance could be improved. The floors were dusty, surfaces had white marks all over, there were hairs from previous guests on one of the coffee plates as well as the bed sheet. It wasn't disgusting but it wasn't sparkling clean either. It was ok for 2 nights stay but for longer I would probably go elsewhere.

    I booked a 7 night stay in a Deluxe Double Studio here for my first week in Hanoi. By some mix up between me booking via Agoda (which I've used for years with no problems) and my arrival, my booking was processed at the hotel via booking.com and my allocated room was degraded to a standard room. I pointed out the error on my first evening and asked for the room to be changed. As the hotel was fully booked that week the receptionist promised to alert the manager of the problem and get back to me. Long story short, I stayed the second night and the hotel agreed to refund 5 nights stay as they couldn't re-allocate me to the correct room. I was satisfied with this, but ultimately disappointed as the hotel is very nice. Located at West Lake it is in a good location and has restaurants and coffee shops close by. It is a very modern, clean hotel and the rooms are well equipped. All the staff members I met and interacted with were first rate and my problem was dealt with swiftly and to my satisfaction. It was a great pity that my booking went south as I've not stayed in the West Lake area of Hanoi before and would have enjoyed a more extensive look around this area. Despite the problem I had on this occasion, I would still recommend this hotel and the staff and management as it a modern, clean, nice place with decent staff and I will book with them again, possibly direct rather than through 3rd party sites. Recommended.
