The Farmhouse is a wonderful old house in the heart of a Dartmoor farmstead near Lydford. The house sleeps nine people in two double bedrooms (one can convert to twin), a single and a room with two sets of bunks. There is an upstairs bathroom and extra WC and a downstairs shower room. On the ground floor are a living room and sunroom, dining room with open fire, kitchen and laundry room. Outside is a secluded garden with barbecue and 250 acre farm to wander and help on. The house shares an outdoor swimming pool (seasonal opening times), tennis court and games room. Additional fun activities can also be arranged. The Farmhouse is a fabulous place with masses for families to do and see. 3 dogs welcome with an additional charge for the 2nd & 3rd.

Region: Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
Town: Nestling among mature woodland on the western slopes of Dartmoor, the historic village of Lydford is a jewel in this area of outstanding scenic beauty. To the north, just half a mile away, the high tors come right down to the village edge, while to the south the River Lyd winds its way through Lydford Forest on its tumbling course northwards. Lydford village has an interesting medieval castle and nearby Lydford Gorge (National Trust) with its peaceful woodland walks and White Lady waterfall is a must. The village also has a Post Office, pub and award-winning restaurant. Whether walking the moors, fishing, watching the amazing wildlife or just visiting the many attractions of this stunningly beautiful area, you'll never be lost for something to do. The moorland market towns of Tavistock and Okehampton are both a short drive away.
