Great and relaxing!

Super nice and helpful personnel! Upon check in got room upgrade, upon checkout - valuable advice on further traveling! Room and the whole hotel is super clean and fresh, while with long history.

Very cozy, large room and bathroom, super clean and the staff was great. It was excellent the promotion of late checkout for the Luzern Marathon participants! Location is also very good!

The entrance is not accessible, with a flight of stairs right at the front…Difficult if you have a baby stroller, for example.

It was the most expensive and worst hotel experince during our stay in Switzerland where we stayed in 5 hotels.

Location only.

1. We paid for the suite room (more expensive) and we got a room much worse than the normal room. 2. Staff were not cooperating when we were shocked of the level of the suite room and they did not show us the normal room; which is much better and newer than the suite room which we reserved based on the pictures of the in booking.com. 3. Breakfast poor and we had to pay more if we asked for scramble eggs and Jasmin tea .. etc 4. Room cleaning service is less than expected.

Expensive but Budget hotel facilities. Very bad quality pillows n mattress. Low quality breakfast. Have to pay Fr5 for an omelette. Bathtub been modified so that you can’t used. Many tour groups staying in this hotel.

It is ok with close location to lucern city

It is unnecessary expensive it is a 3 star hotel. No one gives any information they want to charge extra. Gave us a very small room compared to what we booked. When asked said it is no guarantee to get the same size room. Not ideal for families due to very tight rooms and only 2 elevators.

Overall, this day was ruined by the poor air-conditioning units in the rooms. We slept in and their poor functioning.

Staff and facility was good as was location

I paid extra for two rooms so that we would have air-conditioning. However, the air conditioning in both rooms was either substandard or not working as a result most of us had a problem getting to sleep and the next day we were all exhausted.

Very comfortable, upmarket hotel in a great location

We were kindly upgraded to a lake view room probably because (a) the hotel was quiet and (b) they had our money for at least 6 months before arrival!! However, very comfortable hotel with great parking facilities. Good location on the lake near the bus stop to go into the Centre. Hotel gave us a guest pass for the bus which came in handy. Room was provided with all facilities and the breakfast was fantastic.

No lift to the car park so one has to carry luggage up from the side road or from the car park which is down the road.

Excellent hotel for a few nights in Luzern.

Scenic location in a historic hotel; only a short walk to the city center. There is a bus stop meters away from the front door if you wish to explore some of the smaller villages around the lake.

Great location, affordable and quiet. Our concierge, Valeria (I think) was really helpful and welcoming.

Breakfast could have been with more option. There were groups so they made it limited which was fair enough but it is not fair for rest of the other guests staying at the hotel.

Good base to explore Luzern

- Decent breakfast, lots of large bustours in the hotel but they had their own breakfast room, so pretty quiet - Close to city center, free bus, only 3 stops

We booked two rooms, but the hotel couldn't give us two rooms close to eachother (which I still find odd, since it is a huge hotel). We had one room at the front, 1st floor, (great view over the lake) but with lousy airco, and one room at the back, 3rd floor, (not a very great view) but with excellent airco.

Excellent location, very attentive staff who were all very pleasant. Breakfast was very good and the food generally was very good. Our room had a great view of the lake. Very secure car park.

No air condition in our room. Very hot and windows needed to be closed because of the mosquitoes at night.

Pleasant hotel just out of Lucerne

Easy to get into Lucerne on bus with free bus pass. Bus stop right outside hotel. Breakfast good. Reception has a staffed travel desk which was helpful. Seperate toilet with sink. Easy to access Lake Lucerne with nice swimming and walking areas.

We requested a twin room but beds were together. No space to push beds apart. No mini bar in room. Took 3 days for the towel holder to get fixed. Restaurant staff talking very loudly to each other during meal service. No ambience in dining room.

Lucerne stay great.

Europe hotel Lucerne is excellent, the location is very good , lake view rooms were excellent. I really appreciate the hotel staff who upgraded my rooms without any cost . The breakfast is very good. The staff is very helpful to plan your day trip or any other activity.

A little bit noisy at lake side rooms if you open the windows. But lake side rooms are worth staying.

Avoid this place during summer -- no AC! Not worth the money.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Europe for 2 nights. The rooms were a decent size, and onsite parking was reasonably priced at 25 fr per night.

Booking.com lists the property as having air-conditioned rooms: THIS IS A MISTAKE. There are no air conditioned rooms in this entire property, making it impossible to stay in their rooms. The first night here, we couldn't sleep at all, and we complained, and the second night they gave us fans in our rooms (why not do this in the first place?). The breakfast was really bad for a property this big. Very little variety, and the only pastries were butter croissants and some waffle. Even smaller hotels I stayed in had better breakfasts!

Nice hotel very close to the lake with a bus stop right outside going straight to the centre & train station. Breakfast was tasty as a lovely view out to the lake.
