Blue Moment at the Arctic Circle- Forest, beach, activities

A fantastic experience – if I could, I’d give it 12 out of 10! The cottage is unrivalled in terms of its facilities – it has everything you could possibly think of. Communication with the owner, Paula, was very helpful; all instructions were clear and easy to follow, and every message included an offer of further assistance (should it be needed). The biggest bonus of the cottage, apart from its excellent location in the woods by the lake, is its facilities. It has everything you need for all sorts of outdoor activities, as well as some games and some lovely books for relaxing indoors. The cottage is cleverly and efficiently laid out, and even from inside there are beautiful views in three directions. What a surprise it was the next day at breakfast when we spotted a herd of reindeer grazing just a few metres outside the windows. We were all absolutely fascinated and thrilled. A must-have is the separate sauna cabin, where everything you need is provided, including a wide range of shampoos and other essential toiletries. We were provided with plenty of firewood for our stay – for the sauna, outdoor barbecuing and heating the cottage if needed. We definitely want to come back here – we’re already slowly planning a winter break with the children so we can see the Northern Lights.
