Luxury stone paradise within the walls of the Diocletian palace - old town

We cannot imagine a better place to stay if you want a completely hassles-free stay in Split! The apartment is situated right in the very center of the palace grounds, you literally only have a few steps to some of the most iconic alleys where people stay and take photographs. Yet, you don't notice any of that once in the apartment because of the very good sound proofing of the windows. The apartment has AC units (quiet!) in both bedrooms as well as the common area and keeps perfect temperature. Everything is modern, clean and roomy. There are two bathrooms, both with their own showers, as well as a washing machine. The host is one of the friendlier persons we've met and made everything possible to make sure we had a pleasant stay. We usually never visit the same place twice but in this case we are thinking of making an exception. Highly, highly recommended.

Do note that the apartment is two flights of stairs up. If there's someone in your party with difficulties climbing stairs this could be a factor you want to have in mind.

Beautiful apartment and exceptionally clean!! It was modern and had everything we needed. Location was perfect. Baldo was very helpful and friendly going above and beyond.

I can't believe how wonderful this apartment was. On arrival, as we wound our way through the somewhat confusing streets of "within the walls" Split, our host was waiting outside and looking for us! Once upstairs to our apartment, he was ready with plenty of maps, guidebooks, his personal list of best restaurants and must see sights, and a brief history lesson. It MADE our stay! Baldo the host and his lovely wife could not have been more warm and welcoming. Truly we felt like we were visiting friends. The apartment itself was huge! Fresh and new but still had the old world charm with stone walls, gorgeous windows (soundproof or close to it!), and comfy furnishings. I'd definitely want to stay here if we ever get to return.

We'd liked to have stayed longer.....
