We absolutely loved our two weeks at Schloss Rimburg 💖🏰—in two beautiful and distinctly different suites—Forester Stube #5 & Steve McQueen #4. We loved: - the warm welcome: Claudia is friendly and attentive. - the fairytale-like situation in the castle grounds, perched over the moat, privy to a daily bird show! Nature nurture at its absolute best!! - the thoughtful outdoor private sitting areas for each suite—mostly moat side. Wonderful & oh so special! - the very comfortable beds - the spacious rooms colourfully appointed & decorated - on-site parking Overall, a fabulous, fairytale-like experience, and for us, a surreal opportunity to return to where we lived after we were first married 33 years ago. Like reawakening a past life! We appreciate Claudia’s efforts and determination to preserve and honour Schloss Rimburg. ❤️🏰 We already look forward to returning! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟😊😊

The apartment is in a lovely adaptation of an historic castle. It was quiet and very peaceful, and we had our own little pavilion next to the moat to enjoy a beer in the sun. It's a pleasant 25 minute walk to the station to get a train into Aachen, and near to some great motorbike routes in the Eifel. Communication with the host was prompt and helpful, and our contact, Claudia, was superb. We'll certainly come back.

Het uitzicht

Omrijden via Duitsland om het slot te bereiken. De wifi bleek bij aankomst niet te werken en is tijdens het verblijf meerdere keren uit gevallen. Waarschijnlijk is het appartement nr 4 voor onze aankomst niet gecontroleerd daar een aantal zaken ontbraken in de keuken. De koelkast was niet aangesloten en lekte water. Onze host Claudia was zeer behulpzaam om alles te verhelpen.
