Authentic Dutch farmhouse. Quiet, quaint, good value, friendly host.

Nice quiet place. Beautiful garden. (Almost) full kitchen. Proximal to grocery and to train station (10 minute walk). Roomy shower. Comfortable chairs. Ample hangers for your clothes. He does allow guests to use his laundry but this was not advertised in his listing, so I did it at a friend's house in Kerkrade. Host speaks sufficient English if you don't speak Dutch. He upgraded me from the "family room" to the studio because I only needed one bed and it had more.

Unclear checkout instructions. I left the keys in the room since the host was only available by phone Sunday morning. It was a bit stuffy. A fan helped; I borrowed one from folks I know who live there. TV channels I had when I arrived stopped working. There was a cobweb in the window and pistachios on the floor, so I don't know how clean it was. Decor is old, so you might not find it aesthetic. Since I know people who live in Eygelshoven, it wasn't a problem, but he only takes cash, so you have to pay him upfront, probably by bank transfer. It's legit, but it seemed suspicious at first. Anton is on the level though.

Room pictures on Bookings.com slightly misleading Extremely hot room with no Aircon or fan Bugs in the room Curtains are not black out curtains so people can see your shadow when you are dressing and undressing Curtains also too long for the room No show gel or shampoo Hand wash was hand lotion with water in My bed had no bedding so had to take bedding from another bed No USB ports to charge phone Room was hot as h&££. I couldn't wait to go to next destination...had to sleep with my own little fan (thank heavens for it) It was boiling in there.

Authentic Limburg

I liked the location and the characteristic and picturesque half-timbered house. The owner was very friendly. The room was clean and what you may expect for this price and cannot be compared to a Hilton-suite, but that's not what we were looking for. The beds were ok for a good night's sleep and all in all the room was lovely. I would definitely recommend a stay here , if you're not a glam-fan, but like authentic Limburg and are there for hikes or city trips

I liked the appartement what we had so much. It was so cute. Bring me back to the old dutch times. The owner is really friendly and helpful.

Only one thing: the matresses were quite soft for us. We do not get use to it. However for this short stay (2 nights) it wasn’t a big problem: of course we can sleep well :)

Accommodatie kan beter, maar viel niet echt tegen.

De locatie is mooi te noemen. Ligt gunstig tov de winkels. Stalling voort de fiets. Vriendelijke verhuurder bij aankomst.

Er is geen ontbijt inbegrepen. Vooraf te weinig informatie wat er aanwezig is, koelkast bv of magnetron? Slechte communicatie met de verhuurder; bv geen antwoord op vragen over acc. Deurklinken die los zitten waardoor die eruit vallen en je de wc niet meer uit kunt (ik heb de klink toen maar omgedraaid zodat je er altijd nog uit kunt) Uitrusting is net aan, properheid idem. Foto's op de website zijn sterk verouderd en dus achterhaald, maar wordt niets mee gedaan.

De eigenaar Anton is echt de beste gastheer die we ooit hebben gehad. Goede zorgen tijdens ons verblijf, maar ook toen we bij vertrek wat vergeten waren, zorgde hij ervoor dat we het weer terug kregen

Dr was maar 1 ontbijtbordje, en geen bekers om thee of koffie uit te drinken. Een verduisterd of donker gordijn had fijn geweest.

Een fijne plek en dichtbij de start van de DMT!

De authentieke kamer, ruime badkamer! Verder een heerlijk erf om even bij te komen met een drankje die je bij de supermarkt kan halen. Er is een koelkast aanwezig en ik heb mijn avondmaal ook op de kamer kunnen eten. Even opwarmen in de aanwezige magnetron en hoppa!

Ik ben niet zo stuk van een senseo apparaat dus als ik het voor het kiezen had dan zou ik een nespresso neerzetten mocht de senseo machine komen te overlijden. Het is een prima plek voor een overnachting als je de volgende dag de DMT gaat lopen.
