Calm clean place

A bit in the outskirts and not seen a single staff at all throughout the stay.

Centric. Close to the train station.

No hot water. Trash cans still had garbage. No clean spaces.

We enjoyed our couple of days here using the bus in to town and also the car to the thermal

Lovely spacious self contained apartment in a quiet setting. Only a short 10 minute walk from the bus stop into town. Easy parking.

I would have liked to have a small hob but the microwave was fine. It would be nice to have some coffee for the machine, but these are minor things.

Very good option for local stay.

Very comfortable room - good size and well appointed with kettle, microwave, small fridge.

Just a bit of advice - for most people, it would be a bit more convenient if you have a car. It’s a bit of a walk to the main street which would be fine for some but bad weather or mobility challenges could be a problem.

Host communication needs improvement otherwise a comfortable stay

Quiet location. Room was clean and facilities were as described. Automated check-in worked well. I had fresh towels and refill of coffee when I asked for it.

Host communication needs improvement, especially when there is no reception. I was given the wrong PIN and was unable to access the property. When I called the host number, it went to a voicemail. I then messaged the host on Booking.com app but there was not response too. Then I had to call up Booking.com customer service helpdesk to get the correct PIN. Also, WIFI code was also not found in the room and when I asked for it via the web I got a response 12 hours later.

For those unfamiliar, the 'Boardinghouse' is basically an apartment building with some of the units being used as hotel rooms. The facility was a renovated building next to an old castle and the rooms were modern. The rooms were spacious and clean. The operator provided codes for the front door and rooms prior to our arrival so 'check in' was a breeze.

Like most facilities we stayed at in Germany, none of the room could sleep more than 2 persons. With a family of 5, this required us to rent 3 rooms. Note for American travellers; German pillows contain very little stuffing and provide no support. However, this is not unique to this facility.

Code to open front door did not work upon arrival. Location is really inconvenient to access via public transport. When I turned on the heating because the room was cold, room service continued to turn it off. Towels were not switched out. No showering products. room smelled moldy

Nice accommodation for a stopover handy for the motorway. No fuss check in by machine, 45 minute walk to Aachen cathedra

Clean, roomy and attractive apartment. Particularly appreciated the kettle and coffee maker. Heating warmed the room nicely on a cool evening.

Getting in the first time was difficult. The code is the reservation code from booking.com. First time ever I had to use the code so it took some time to figure out. The whole system can be a bit better

Very noisy, despite location

Nice apartment, roomy, reasonably clean. But that doesn't mean much if you can't sleep due to noise.

Well, It's 3:30 am and the next group of noisy people just passed the apartment. Despite the supposedly quiet location there has been a steady stream of noise since 11 pm. Apartment directly faces the street, party-goers, cars, taxis, drunks parading past the window or stopping for a noisy chat. Not sure where they are coming from or going, but if you like being woken up every 15 minutes this is the place to be. Unbelievable.

one of the worst places i stayed

I would very much like to be able to evaluate the place with excellent. but unfortunately I didn't have a good experience, starting with chekin. the door is bad to open. when doing the chekin I was directed to the room, the key I was given did not open the room door (indicates incorrect number) I could not enter the room I paid for. then the available phones did not answer I called several times. in the end I had to generate a new order and rent a room in the same place. a room for 1 person where I had to sleep with my wife in a small bed.

I have videos, proving all my experience nothing pleasant. I paid for 1 room that I didn't use I had to pay for another one so as not to be on the street. I hope at least the refund of the unused room

Exceptional

I use this location, when I tranzit Germany. The sleepover is super comfortable, and I love the fact that the accomodation has a small kitchen. I highly recommend this location.
