The property was beautiful! An oasis in the middle of the mountains. Perfect to rest and disconnect but also reasonably close to beaches and tourist attractions in case yo want to do more active plans. climate in August was perfect. The house was well equipped and comfortable. Alex was the best host. We even offered to pay some wine glasses that we broke and he was very nice about it saying don’t worry. The pool was super enjoyable with the views of the mountain.
Some facilities were old here and there but for the price it was beyond expectations.

El lugar, la casa, el entorno y el anfitrión. El lugar, Orbacem, es un lugar tranquilo y silencioso en la montaña, muy cercano a la costa (10 mnts), pero sin el bullicio. La casa, muy cómoda y funcional, la piscina de sal es un valor añadido y el jardín acompaña con varias zonas para disfrutar. El entorno, Alex nos recomendó las playas de Arda y Moledo, fantásticas para practicar surf, bodyboard, kitesurf o windsurf, o simplemente disfrutar del día en familia en las playas del atlántico, y en el mismo Orbacem existen unas pozas maravillosas en el río. El anfitrión, amable y accesible, nos dejó máxima confianza en el uso de su casa, que hace sentirte totalmente cómodo, como si fuera tu propia casa. Gracias por el detalle de bienvenida😊, vino y bombones. Seguro que volveremos.

I liked the ambiance of the house and the view from the pool. The area is well maintained, clean and comfortable even for a few people. We could use a washing machine together with washing gel. The beds were comfortable. The host left a bottle of Porto and two bars of chocolates for us, and some coffee. We could check in and out at the time convenient for us. The place guarantees a lot of privacy. The village is a nice place to hike around but unfortunately there are not any marked trails or information on them.
I tried to cancel the reservation 3 weeks before coming because of the unexpected covid regulations in my country but the host denied to do it or even postpone the reservation... The house is quite simple, without any luxury. There weas a problem with electricity whenever I tried to use the oven with more than one burner... There was no salt or pepper to make the cooking easier. The worst is the bathroom - very tiny, with no window or ventilation. The flush worked only when you hit it! Something that you don't expect when you pay so much! Our staying was disturbed by a constant ring of bells coming from a nearby church - from 6 am every 30 minutes! The loudiest was Sunday when the mass at 7 am was heard through the speakers. There were only 4 Portuguese channels on TV. That's all. There is no possibility to park at the house. We were suggested to leave the car next to the church which we found very unconvenient and unsafe. The car is a must. The gate could not be locked, so anytime there was a possibilty of someone coming in!
