“Cowes Duplex Retreat” is a double-storey family & pet friendly home in Cowes just a comfortable walk from the pet friendly Red Rock's beach and a short drive from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Upstairs is accessed via an external staircase and features a large open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with 42" TV & some games), Bedrooms 2 and 3 (each with storage & clothing racks) and a Bathroom (with shower, toilet & double vanity). Downstairs is another large open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with 50" smart TV), Bedroom 1 (with storage & clothing racks) and a side hallway that leads to a Bathroom (with shower & double vanity), a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer) and a separate Toilet. The separate Bungalow is accessed from the downstairs floor and via the backyard, and is large enough to double as a space to relax (with another 42" TV).

Outdoor Areas

The front first floor Balcony (with seating for 8) is accessed from the upstairs Living Room. The rear downstairs covered area (with gas BBQ & seating for 8) overlooks the enclosed rear yard, perfect for children and pets. Also in the yard is a firepit (wood not provided) with some seating around it. There is space for 3 vehicles (cars and/or a boat) in the driveway, with additional street parking available.

Kitchen

This home uniquely has two fully appointed kitchens. Upstairs, the Kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Vittoria Espressotoria pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven and cook top. The downstairs Kitchen also has a microwave, toaster, double sink, fridge and dishwasher.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There are two wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioners; one in each of the upstairs Living Room & downstairs Living Room, plus four additional stand-alone heaters and fans which can be used where required.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 5 beds, 1 foldout bed & 2 sofa beds, accommodating up to 10 guests:

Bedroom 1 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): One Double bed and one Single foldout bed
Bedroom 4 (Bungalow): One Tri-bunk

The upstairs Living Room has a Single sofa bed, suitable for one adult or child.
The Bungalow has a Double sofa bed, suitable for two adults or children.
Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.

Very clean and well appointwd and great location. Improvements could include replacing the front door lock and the lock beside the downstairs loo as they were challenging to open. Windows were locked and so very warm inside. Finally, investing in some decent pillows would be great.providing some toiletries in the bathrooms would be favourable.
