The shepherd's hut was amazing so beautiful amazing scenery, very clean nice little get away for a couple me and my husband love coming to rhe hut every year.

The location was absolutely perfect, very quiet and just so much in the local area to enjoy. The property was also spotlessly clean and everything we needed had been thought of.

Excellent all round, can really tell that the hosts care about their guests. - Beautiful location, The setting is idyllic, woken by peasants on the patio, beautiful sunsets and sunrises and a short stroll to the local village and pub. Being the only lodge it is private and so quiet, respite for the soul...just glorious. - Comfortable lodge with a luxurious yet homely feel. Great utilisation of space with everything needed for a short break. - Wonderful hosts, great welcome pack, even a birthday banner which was a lovely surprise.

Wow! This property appears to have only been operating since April 2025 and what a wonderful gem it is. Beautifully presented, quality fixtures and fittings and set in a really lovely, quiet location, fronting onto open farmland. You can sit in bed and look straight out onto the fields. A perfect start to any day. A really comfortable bed, terrific shower and a small, perfectly-formed kitchen with all the equipment, cookware, crockery and utensils you could need. The owner left cooking oil, salt, pepper, fresh milk, tea bags, coffee bags, pods for the coffee machine, cookies, and crisps. Really thoughtful. Someone has put their heart and soul into this property and its secluded position and easy parking (but within walking distance of the village centre and pub) all make it simply outstanding. Great wifi too. Well definitely be returning.

Whilst there are a number of coat and towel hooks in the bathroom and living room/bedroom area, there is no hanging rail. We only stayed for 3 nights but some people may find the lack of hanging rail a problem for a longer stay.

Well equipped with very thoughtful touches, for example quality binoculars, nespresso machine, biscuits, etc. Lovely outside area with suitable seating and gorgeous views. So peaceful and private with lots of wildlife and walks galore. Perfect for two.

Although the bed was comfy for me my partner found it hard so perhaps a thicker topper would help. There was nothing else we didn’t like.

The Accommodation: The hut itself was exceptional. It was a great size, offering plenty of space without losing its cozy charm. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a long drive. The kitchen facilities were well-equipped and it was also clear that cleanliness was a top priority—the hut was absolutely spotless, which made it feel even more inviting. The attention to detail was remarkable. Every aspect of the accommodation had been carefully thought out, from the layout to the finishing touches, creating a high-standard experience. The stunning view from the hut added a sense of tranquility and made the space feel even more magical. Sitting back and taking in the scenery was one of the highlights of our stay. The Hosts: What truly elevates this place from exceptional to unforgettable are the hosts. Bill, in particular, went above and beyond to assist us following an unfortunate accident in the village on the night of our stay. Not only did he help us get to a local garage, but he also ensured that we were able to return home safely. That level of kindness and care is rare, and it made a lasting impression on us. It’s clear that the hosts are deeply invested in ensuring their guests have the best possible experience, not just in terms of the accommodation but in every aspect of their stay. Value for Money: When comparing the cost of staying here to that of a standard hotel room, this experience is far more attractive. For a similar price, you gain so much more in this stunning, private setting.

Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like about our stay. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. If anything, our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer to fully explore the area. The location has so much to offer, and we’re already planning a return visit so we can enjoy it even more.
