We all love the location and the room setting. Like the breakfast they provide and the matcha latte drink. We can enjoy the hot bath after our dinner at night and always make us to have good sleep. However, the only thing I rate it low is the cleanliness in the bathroom. Our bathroom has some stinky smell which make us don’t want to take shower in the room. Also the bed cabinets are quite dusty, I think this is the the only complain I have and if this can improve, I would definitely come back on my next visit

Bunker beds room is ideal for children. Overall a good stay for City standard. Just a bit of smelly when stepped into toilet. All other things are fine.

FAV Lux Susukino Sapporo Review Stay Duration: Stayed for 5 days and 4 nights. Location: It is located in Susukino, Japan's largest entertainment district north of Tokyo. The area is packed with stores, bars, restaurants, karaoke shops, pachinko parlors, and red-light establishments. Transportation Access: It is about a 9-minute walk from Susukino Station (Namboku Line) and about a 15-minute walk from Odori Station (Namboku, Tozai, and Toho Lines). Room Style/Condition: Quite modern with a minimalist style. Room Amenities: It has an island table equipped with a small fridge, microwave, electric stove, pan, kettle, pot, utensils, glasses, dishes, and even an ice bucket. The room has a very tiny safe deposit box that only fits passports and wallets. Housekeeping: Towel replacement and trash collection are available daily, but housekeeping service is only provided on the 3rd night for stays of 4 nights or more. The housekeeping staff only made up our beds and did not clean the room/bathroom or wash the dishes/glasses. Toiletries: Basic toiletries such as pajamas (rental only but free of charge), toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, and combs were provided on the 1st floor next to the receptionist. Laundry Facilities: Laundry facilities with a dryer were available in our room and on the 2nd floor (paid machines) near the onsen pool and sauna room. Breakfast Quality: No breakfast, but they have June Coffee next to the receptionist. AI Assistant: No AI assistant. Overall Experience: A good value-for-money place near the central city area. Recommendation: We stayed in this hotel as a family with 2 adult children. Check-in Process: Online check-in using a tablet/iPad with the password/PIN they provided before our arrival. Check-out Experience: Guests need to check out before 10 AM. Just scan the QR code before checking out. Staff Attitude: Quite helpful. Communication: Most Japanese people do not speak English very well. Room Size: We booked a 1 bunk-bedroom room (2 single beds and 2 queen-size beds), which can fit up to 6 people. Bed Comfort: The mattress quality was okay, and we slept comfortably. Noise Level: There was no traffic noise even though our room faced the road. Air Conditioning: The cooling performance and temperature control worked well. Wi-Fi Quality: Internet speed, stability, and coverage were quite good. Bathroom Cleanliness: They have separate automatic toilets (with auto flush and lighting) and bathrooms (with shower and bathtub). The toilet has no drainage, so it needs to be wiped with tissue if it gets wet. Water Pressure: Worked perfectly for both hot and cold water. Room Cleanliness: The wardrobe is quite small for more than 2 people. View from Room: Just an ordinary, quiet neighborhood view in the Susukino area. Lighting: The brightness and practicality of the room lighting were okay. Power Outlets: The number and convenience of charging ports/outlets were adequate. Elevator Waiting Time: We stayed on the 7th floor, and the lift service was okay. Security: I did not see any CCTV cameras around, especially in front of the lift. There were fire alarms in the hallway and in front of the room. Parking: Under renovation. Convenience Stores Nearby: An AEON minimarket is located next to the hotel, and several other convenience stores are nearby. Facilities: The hotel has separate onsen pools (for men and women) with hot and cold water, secured lockers, a quiet air-conditioned room, and a sauna room with a security PIN (for guests only). Unfortunately, we met some Indian guests who wore swimming suits/shorts and brought their phones into the pool area. There is a risk that they could record naked people in the pool. Family Friendliness and Suitability: We booked this hotel for a family with 2 adult children. Value for Money: A value-for-money accommodation in the central area of Susukino. Photos vs Reality: The actual condition matched the photos on Agoda. Maintenance: No complaint

While the location is near many groceries and convenience stores, it is still not in the center of Susukino - the shopping and restaurant district in Sapporo. Check in and check out was through the computer - so didn't really have any interaction with the staff. Trash and used towels are collected every day and replaced with fresh towels and a garbage bag. There is no drinking water provided in the rooms but there is a water and ice machine and vending machines in the 2nd floor. The bunk room had its own washer and dryer in the bathroom. The rooms were not very clean - there was visible dust under the kitchen counter table where the bar stools are, there was also some sticky residue on wooden panel on top of one of the queen sized beds. Wish we had the time to try the hotel sauna and steam baths. Breakfast was ok - a few set meals to choose from. Overall, a nice new hotel with good amenities. Service needs improvement though - wish they had provided a Whatsapp or Viber number to contact the hotel staff for requests since there is no phone in the room.
