Starboard Cottage

This tucked away very comfortable cottage was perfect for us. It is actually very spacious with everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. The sofas very comfy the master bed was super comfy and a very spacious light bedroom. Didn't use 2nd bedroom but it was spacious . The whole place has a loved feeling about it with some lovely unusual items, not your normal 'to rent' furniture. The shower worked really well plenty of hot water as there is a new combi boiler . Would think in the winter time this would be a very snug and warm place. We walked each day to Penzance as my parents live there and it was a lovely walk along the sea front. The host Nina was very helpful with anything we needed and her recommendations. Along the harbour there are a few really great fishmongers and they are happy to help you, we had a lot of white crab meat and some huge crayfish ... all really tasty...

This is not a complaint on the cottage at all but knowing Newlyn and the fact is was a fishing village back in the day with all the little streets they not for cars but horse and cart! the parking was a slight issue but we always managed to get a space at the St Peters Hill carpark and it was literally a 2 minutes walk to the cottage . No dislikes at all.

Bathroom is far from bedrooms.

different levels in the floor between lounge and kitchen and upstairs bedroom from the hall a bit hairy, fell down the step on a few occasions

Cute fisherman’s cottage, maritime history, stayed cool downstairs in high heat, ideal location, two lovely restaurants in Newlyn. Water front walking distance around bay to Marazion. Lots of spots to take dip in ocean on route. Helipad close for Scilly Isles trip.

Pay Car park 50 yards away at back of property uneven access with luggage.
