DIRTY, RUNDOWN, LYING & SCAM HOSTS

Central to Carlisle is the only positive for this place

AVOID AT ALL COSTS all previous reviews stating things don’t work or are broken are 100% accurate Upon booking this place I was told it was unavailable and they have another property No electricity Bathroom lights not working No electricity downstairs Rubbish piled outside the back door Moldy milk and food left in fridge & freezer Shocking standards Was promised a refund and still waiting on it You would rather book triple the price somewhere else

Never go back

The fact that we had to move to another house due to to no hot water n toilet wouldn't flush, and other house was filthy, rubbish everywhere ,hadn't been tidied up looked like a squat

Basic property, needs deep clean and the kitchen needs to be a lot mote inviting felt like a student

The kitchen was basic, not enough plates or cups etc only 2 of each item there was 3 of us. Kitchen cupboards inside where all stained. The sofa was comfortable but lifted the centre part up it was grim inside. Doors where thick with dust.The carpets looked new which was a positive.

Nightmare to Stay!

Location is great. Reclined sofa in the lounge is very comfortable.

Handle of the toilet flush didn't work! We had to open the cover and pull the iron bar to flush. I called the contact person and I was told that he wasn't aware of the damage, but clearly previous tourists had stated it on comments here. Also, the boiler was not working properly and hot water supply was not stable. Additionally, the roof was leaking to the lounge when the shower was on! I don't think this house should be allowed to list on booking.com until it is fully re-done.

Close to city center and within easy reach of public transport and food outlets.

Everything. No hot water, toilet didn't flush, insufficient cutlery and crockery for number of persons staying (four), no outdoor area yet stated in listing details, insufficient towels at property, no tea or coffee at property as stated, no toaster. One of the beds was 3/4 size, not double, therefore too small for two persons. Feature fireplace stated in listing (a lie!). Dirty oven. Host would not respond to phone calls or messages,Totally inadequate! The issues with the boiler and toilet were previously stated in earlier feedback. Why were these not resolved?

We would not book again

We were moved twice and the house could be nice in the future. It is convenient and quiet and the beds were comfortable

Downstairs was not clean the bathroom light did not work the shower only gave lukewarm water intermittently there was sawdust and paint marks and it felt uncomfortable. We had been moved twice and this was not the place we had signed up to stay in
