Excellent. Nice hosts, very well appointed room, if a little on small side. Fabulous western breakfast. Great shower and bathroom. Location in quite corner within wallet city, but short walk to centre. Great value for money.

The best is the staff. They are super friendly and they helped us with everything, they made our stay! The accommodation is amazing, we loved it and it was very comfortable. It is quite next to the center of the ancient city so it takes just a few minutes walking but it’s also away so we could enjoy a peaceful sleep

Given the context and the price, I highly recommend this place. The room is small but functional, with a very spacious bathroom. Considering that Pingyao isn't usually a long-stay destination, this place is ideal—it's close to the city wall entrance and the main attractions, which I reached on foot. However, the absolute highlight is the hospitality and the included breakfast. Our host was lovely and helpful, delighting us with a genuine and, above all, gluten-free friendly breakfast after I explained my dietary needs (celiac disease) during booking. This is definitely not something you take for granted in China, and I hope this info will be helpful to others.

The bed wasn't super comfortable, but it wasn't a dealbreaker.
