Location, layout and hot tub

Nothing, it was all great

Great location in the forest and amenities on site. Hot tub was amazing and checked daily. Could not fault the lodge at all. Information provided was very informative and gave maps for various walks. Restaurant on site was great, we had breakfast on our last morning and despite not having cows milk on that morning for hot drinks, the food was great Park was ideally placed and enough for my child to play on happily while waiting for food. The added pottery painting was a great addition we just ran out of time to do it.

The drive up from the main road was awful! It took 20 mins of careful slow driving as it was big stones continuously. We hadn’t see anything before to prepare us. My husbands car is not the lowest but was grounding out constantly and the other car we took got a flat tyre, just as we arrived at the lodge. It made any journeys out very concerning Beds were creaky and moveable so had to be careful The noise of the duvet and bed did continuously wake my baby who was in our room. Separate towels for the hot tubs and bathing would have been nice as by the 2nd day they were soaked and smelt of chlorine
