Atlantic Escape

The kitchen and dining areas were my favourite, I hadn’t used an induction hob before and I was very impressed by its convenience and speed. The grass area outside the front was great to spread out a blanket and relax. There’s a very nice swimming pool on site that I used a few times. It was too hot to try out the gym but it looked good. A large field drops away from the chalets and this was great for exercising my dog.

I was there during a heatwave and the living area was very hot during the day. No problem with the bedrooms. It would have been nice if the large windows in the lounge had bigger openings so air could flow through more easily. With having a dog I ended up barricading the open front door with the clothes airer. Worked well. There was a good breeze off the sea but I couldn’t easily make the most of it without this slight modification. Oh and the toaster was only for slim bread and the kitchen knives were not good. Everything else superb.

This chalet was in a great location. It is a lovely, fairly quiet well maintained site with some good facilities. The chalet itself was really nice and all the equipment needed to enjoy our stay . We did have an issue with the cooker hob not working , see comments below. If we had not had this issue I would have scored our feedback much higher.

The cooker hob would not work. We contacted Skye Cottages via text and initially revieved a message to say an agent would contact me. This never happened, and since returning home I have again contacted them. I received a text to say an agent had tried to contact me and left a voicemail. I have advised them this did not happen but they have not responded to my text. The hob not working was dissappointing as we choose a self catering holiday to keep costs down. Twice we had to eat out when we had planned to eat in the chalet adding £80 to our spending budget. This may not sound like much but it is to us
