Less than a mile from the golden sands of Widemouth Bay, traditional beach days and surfing are made easy – if you’re new to surfing, visit one of the beach’s surf schools to learn the ropes! Set just moments away from the South West Coast Path, this is also an excellent base for walkers who can follow the cliff-top trail in one direction to reach Bude (3 miles), or in the other to find Crackington Haven (6 miles). The coastal town of Bude is a great option for families, who will discover an endless choice of seaside pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops, as well as an expansive, sandy beach to call home for the day.

As you arrive at this delightful retreat, you’ll be blown away by the superb, panoramic views across the bay, making it easy to unwind and embrace your time by the sea. Step inside, kick off walking boots or sandy flip flops, and walk into the social heart of the home, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Unwind after days of adventure in the sumptuous seating, flicking on the Smart TV for evening entertainment or simply admiring the wonderful views. When stomachs start to rumble, find that the well-appointed kitchen boasts everything needed to whip up memorable holiday feasts, perhaps using the local ingredients you’ve sourced during your day out. Bask in the views as you enjoy the chef’s work at the dining table beside the large window. When it’s time for bed, guests have two charming bedrooms to choose from; a double bedroom with sea views, and a cosy twin that little ones will love.
