A charming North Cornwall hideaway with a Mediterranean spin, this inviting coastal cottage sits metres away from Widemouth Bay and offers a perfect seaside base for couples and small families. With the sandy beach just 300 metres away, days of water sports, sandcastle building and relaxation are made easy. For keen walkers and wildlife spotters, the scenic South West Coast Path passes through the beach, offering dramatic routes deeper into Cornwall, or northwards towards Upton (2 miles) and Bude (3 miles). In bustling Bude, find a wide choice of shops for holiday mementoes and local produce, or dine out in one of the many seaside pubs and restaurants. Afterwards, enjoy a sandy stroll along Summerleaze Beach or take a dip in the tidal pool. Further afield, uncover Arthurian legend at Tintagel Castle (16 miles) or discover the picture-postcard beauty of Crackington Haven (6 miles).

Head inside and be greeted by a cosy kitchen/diner with wood-panelled flooring and a roaring wood burner. Find all you need in the kitchen for a self-catered stay, then gather at the round dining table set beneath a skylight that floods the room with natural light. Afterwards, follow the rustic floorboards through to the lounge, where soft seating and a Smart TV set the scene for cosy evenings together. On balmy days, swing open the French doors to the garden and let the fresh Cornish air fill the home. For more relaxation, an additional seating area with far-reaching views awaits upstairs, perfect for morning coffee. At the end of each busy day away, retire to a choice of two restful bedrooms: a king-size room and a comfortable sized double bedroom.
