Riverbank House

Beautiful house with fabulous location, right on the Nile with eateries, banking and other services close by. The house has lots of character and our house keeper Said couldn’t have helped us more, providing us with dinner and breakfasts.

Great location right on the Nile. This meant fantastic views from the amazing rooftop and easy access to boat taxis to take you across to the East side of Luxor. The facilities were great - lovely and private, swimming pool, the rooftop terrace, every room had its own bathroom. The vibe felt really authentic through the decor and Egyptian food cooked for us. We had the pleasure of the housekeeper, Saed, being available at all times to get us alcohol from the shops, do washing, make fresh juices and cook for us on request (for an additional cost and of course and deserved tip). Would recommend this place for all these reasons giving great value for money!

Showers and WiFi were weak. We loved the food cooked for us and would not change it but know it is more expensive than eating out - however it’s incredible delicious, convenient and in the privacy of the rooftop terrace where you can have your own alcoholic drinks unlike most restaurants in Luxor.

Une super maison très vaste et très bien placée pour visiter louxor et la vallée des rois. Said, présent dans la maison pour nous accueillir est adorable, discret, dévoué et très sympathique, il nous manquera. Organisation très fluide avec Khairy avant et après séjour.

We had a wonderful three days here. It suited the eight of us brilliantly: two grandparents, three adults and three teenage girls. Each with their “own space” and loads of communal spaces to relax, chat, ‘escape’ and enjoy the view across the Nile to Luxor Temple and the Winter Palace. Said was the most wonderful ‘host’ looking after all our domestic needs and making lovely breakfasts and suppers. The location couldn’t have been better being on the right side of the river for all the tombs, ballooning and camel rides. The water taxis made getting to and from Luxor so easy and an adventure in its own right. Thank you for enhancing our love of Egypt and making our trip SO memorable.
