House of Dreams apartments Luxor

Staff is incredible, location is perfect if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle on the east bank (very ideal for us). Near to many great restaurants and also the public ferry to get across to the east bank. Can’t say enough good things about the apartment - it’s huge, clean and comfortable!

The host was waiting for us at the entrance at the agreed time. He was very kind and explained everything about how to use the apartment. We had an entire apartment at our disposal, with two separate bedrooms. Everything was a bit worn, but it served its purpose well, especially considering the price–value ratio. Cleanliness was ok. If you want to visit the sights on the west bank, the location is good. However, if you want to reach the Karnak Temple or the Luxor Temple, there are hundreds of small motorboats very close to the accommodation that can take the whole family across the river for 100–150 EGP. Check-out was smooth as well. Overall, we were satisfied with the accommodation.

The mattresses on the beds are soft and sink in quite a lot under one’s body. Although the house is located on a side street, there was quite a bit of noise at dawn from the garbage trucks. The rooster also started crowing during the night, and a group of children was making noise next door.

I liked that the man that lived down stairs from me looked out for me when the host and his nephew cheated me out of my money.

The host husband and nephew cheated me out of my money and when I talked to him about it he said something that made me extremely afraid.
