Spectacular Lakefront Apartment

The location directly across from the lake and 5 min walk to town was perfect. Having 2 bathrooms suited us 2 couples. The kitchen was well equipped and a living room and outdoor courtyard with views of the lake were lovely.

We all found the many and various animal hides used as rugs and throws extremely tacky and unhygienic. There was the strangest thing with the bathrooms as there was as an adjoining wall made of glass meaning you could see from one bathroom shower into the other bathroom - it was frosted but you could still see and it meant zero privacy - just crazy!! Luckily we didn’t keep our hire car as there is no parking included and it would have been difficult to find a spot on the busy street. Our booking said that a late checkout of 12pm and a bottle of wine were included. We didn’t get the bottle of wine. They tried to charge us extra because we weren’t out by 10. They haven’t persisted for payment but it wasn’t pleasant being accused of doing the wrong thing.

The Good: Location was excellent easy walk into town right across from lake, beds really comfy. Furnishings really nice. We had a problem with the glass shower door not opening….a couple of phone calls had it fixed (great service) The Bad: Some condiments would have been nice even a small milk (only tea, coffee, sugar etc was leftovers from other guests), The Ugly: Parking

The fact it states private parking on the booking.com website and when we arrived there was nowhere to park. After finding out from host after ringing them there was in fact no parking….parking was on side of road and in a very busy part of Queenstown that was full most of the time. We were told we could pay $20 day just down the road to park, which is way at we had to do. For the price of the property I would suggest Nelson cleans out his garage so his guests can utilise it.

Great location. A property with 3 beds and 2 baths was awesome. Easy check in. Very clean. 👍

The owners didn’t respond to any correspondence. Asked about/requested parking in advance - no response Sent a question about laundry powder - no response. There wasn’t any tea or coffee in the property which I feel is a basic. Strange faux animal coverings on the furniture which shed hair. Made it quite uncomfortable to sit on lounges.
