Spacious room. High ceiling. Big bathroom. Clean. AC kept me nice and cool. Comfy bed. Delicious breakfast.

The stairs. Not easy to find at night.

Many travelers waved about the free breakfast and I was drawn to it. The people serving the breakfast were friendly and considering. The breakfast itself was very ordinary, rice with egg and fruit plus coffee. The juice was from concentrated and it was light with some artificial flavor. The location was very good, plenty of parking was another useful benefit. The owner/manager gave us some tips about local attractions that were very useful! The free tour was also very enjoyable. Communications by text was excellent.

The room was kind of small, very basic. The bed made friction and noticeable noise when turning during sleep, There were some stairs (80 - 100) between the room and the street (parking). Mosquitos was another issue especially right around sunset.

Too many stairs!

Other than the stairs, the location is good. Close to the main street for restaurants and the bus to Manual Antonio park, but far enough away to be relatively quiet. Breakfast is ok. AC works well.

Check-in is a pain. There is no reception desk and no staff on site most of the time, so you have to tell them your exact arrival time and arrange someone to meet you. They should add a lockbox or code to make this simpler. Mattress is fairly soft/saggy, so if you have lower back pain beware. Lack of attention to details that I would have expected for the price, like a bedside lamp that doesn't reach the plug unless you put it on the floor. The garden view is just a chain link fence with a green tarp. The room is quite bright at night, because there is a high-up window that can't be covered. As other reviews mention, lots of stairs.
