The Falls by Lalibela

The Falls at Lalibela was a beautiful gem of a hotel - thoughtfully curated and lovingly maintained by attentive and self-motivated staff. The first few days of our trip to Costa Rica was spent at a 5-star mega-resort in Herradura, and my husband and kids preferred the Falls at Lalibela for its comfortable, supremely clean spacious rooms and wide porch surrounded by the lushest, densest tropical canopy imaginable. Red-backed spider monkeys swung through the trees feet from our balcony at sunrise our first morning there, and white-faced capuchins greeted us at sunrise the second morning. The on-site restaurant - Medusa- was delicious and featured a variety of delicious Costa Rican fare, seafood, and a few American-esque dishes for our picky 13-year old. We loved the free, hearty breakfasts and proximity to beaches and Manuel Antonio Park.

We had the most amazing stay here for our honeymoon. Couldn’t fault it and the pictures don’t do it justice - beautiful hotel and pool, lovely staff who couldn’t do enough, great food, convenient location. So much wildlife around too, loved seeing the monkeys!

The hotel is surrounded by nature and tranquility. Rooms are big and clean.

Our stay at the falls was an absolute delight. From the comfortable beds to the excellent restaurant and the incredibly friendly staff, everything was top notch. The location is perfect, with easy access to restaurants and shops. It’s definitely worth the visit, and I can’t wait to return!
