The accommodation was absolutely perfect. It was very well thought out with all the small details ticked. Great little extras like milk crisps and few drinks. The whole layout of the place was perfect. Like the furniture tables pictures, every was perfectly measured and sized, and very homely I was very impressed by the bedrooms, the kitchen and bathroom with just about everything. The toaster does not work and needs to be thrown out. This is not a criticism in a bad way at all because there is a grill and we wanted this for toast alone and it would have been a bit better for us if the toaster did work but if there was no toaster at all I would not be writing this. One of the lamps in the living area does not work, but it did light up when we first arrived, so it was possible the fuse just went after we arrived. Not the bulbs, as we checked them. Again, if that lamp wasn't there, we would not have missed it as plenty more lamps and lights in there. One of the best equipped places I have ever stayed in, and the fire with the ligs have left me wanting one of them for my own house now. So many logs there and there was an additional payment if you used more than your allocated logs left for you but this was so reasonable I wish we had stayed long enough to use half what they left out for us but there really was no need. I have nothing but nice things to say about this place and hats of to whoever has set this place up from the choice of furniture and fixings to the beds the bedding and the whole deccor of the place. I am going to guess it was a female who has had all the input of this, and if I am wrong, then I do apologise, but it is perfect never the less.
There was nothing not to like, and if anybody complains about this place, then don't believe a word of it. The bathroom could possibly do with an extractor fan, but I say this because I would like to think of the benefits it would have in protecting you. Great bathroom, that's all.

The property was a nice size for two people, we appreciated the welcome basket and accommodating our dog which very much enjoyed his stay with access to the garden (which is a lovely, well tended area). The kitchen was well supplied and the property was very clean generally. The location is great and, whilst the local pub and cafe in the village no longer seemed to be open, it's only a very short drive to Sandsend and Whitby.
Hot water is only available via a solid fuel stove (not suitable for this time of year) or electric immersion heating which meant we couldn't schedule it without being at the property. Also the stairs are rather small and can cause issues for those with mobility issues. There is also a large temperature variation between downstairs (cold) and the upstairs rooms which got progressively hotter. None of this is a major issue and the property advantages outweigh the negatives.
