Riad Sidi

The staff- Mohammed is the star of this place! Very friendly and helpful. We were made to feel at home and treated like a guests. This is a fairly new Raid so the decor is lovely and of very good standard. Previously was a restaurant and still operate a Restaurant on the rooftop. This Riad is on the outskirts of the medina- a 2 minute well lit access to the main street- Talaa Kabira- main shopping street which also leads to the Blue gate area. There was a carpark just outside- and taxi can reach the front of the Riad- you do not want to be lugging your luggage around the Medina. The bedrooms are decorated to good standard. The beds were very comfortable. AC worked well. Bathroom was modern and had a good strong shower. Breakfast on the rooftop was plentiful and different every day- each day we were introduced to new Moroccan cuisine. Mohammed took time to explain each dish. We had dinner twice at the Riad. We were offered Mint tea several times- some of the best during our stay. After a few initial issues which were sorted out, we had a wonderful time and would be happy to book again and recommend this place to friends.

We booked the family suite- described to have a separate bedroom. When we arrived we realised it was one room with seating area and double bed on ground level and two singles on Mezzanine section- not two rooms in a suite. Not ideal but we would have dealt with it. However the noise from the kitchen exactly above the double bed could not be tolerated- foot steps/ boiler noise/ dishes etc -everything could be heard. We had very disturbed first day and night. The next day the staff thankfully shifted us couple into another room - at no extra cost. We are grateful for this otherwise we could not have survived 5 nights with the noise. We did suggest they sound proof the floor of the kitchen and they were willing to take on our suggestions. The other suggestion was to add some storage- lack of drawers/ hanging space for clothing- important when you are in the room for more than a couple of nights. If we had booked any of the double rooms we would not have had any issues.

Mohamed and Bobrek (spelling unsure) were such amazing hosts. We traveled to Fes as three women and always felt safe. Mohamed arranged all of our tours and private driver for all the areas of Morocco we visited for the entire week (3 cities). The rooms were large, clean and very comfortable. The food (breakfast and dinner) was delicious. And when we desired delivery food Bobrek helped us order via delivery. I would 100% come back to Fes and stay at Riad Sidi. The staff made our stay safe, fun and relaxing.

Spacious, decor and artwork was beautiful. The staffs, Med and Boubkar were excellent, very friendly and hospitable. They laughed with us.

The location for one and the blankets were too heavy.

It gave us the feeling of typical friendly Moroccan place. Boubkar and Med were feel so at home.
