Casa Aya Medina

Charming small riad on the northern outskirts of Medina. Beautifully decorated rooms and courtyard. Entrance to Riad is an absolute treat! Through a low doorway in the wall and down a colourful narrow alley. Air con was new and quiet. Very quiet area at night. Shampoo available. Special high quality toilet paper! Very clean room. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. It was lovely to hear the birds chirping and a rooster crow as we ate. We had a room on top floor but the narrow staircase was well lit and we had option of another room next to courtyard. The terrace was clean with tables and chairs and a decent outlook. The staff- Moneim- exceptional. So friendly and genuine. He organised a tour for us. Overall, great value for money. Highly recommended!!

I booked this accommodation for my father and my brother, and they were extremely happy with their stay. They had a lovely room, everything was clean and well cared for, and the overall atmosphere of the riad was wonderful. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Even though I was not a guest at this riad myself, I was invited to join them for breakfast, which was a very kind gesture. Amina, the sister of the host, prepared what was honestly the best bread we had during our entire time in Morocco. The breakfast in general was outstanding and clearly prepared with a lot of care. Abdelmoneim, the host, was incredibly attentive and welcoming. He regularly offered us tea, gave us great tips for sightseeing in Fes, and even accompanied us to some of the sights. He went far beyond what one would normally expect from a host, and we felt very well looked after throughout our time there. Both Abdelmoneim and his sister Amina were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. The riad itself is beautiful, very old, and wonderfully preserved. The traditional architecture is stunning and full of character, and it truly feels like a special place. My father and brother would definitely love to return, and we are all very grateful for the warm hospitality and excellent service we experienced here.

Excellent hospitality and facilities!

Location was excellent with good value safe parking close by. Breakfast was lovely and generous portions. The staff were very courteous and friendly and helpful.

The beds were clean but the mattresses are worn out and need replacing.
