Good location although a bit tricky to find.they offer to take you there so it's fine. It is right next to medina's main street. Breakfast was great and the lady serving it was very nice to us

Only thing would be the stairs as you come out of the bathroom look quite dangerous,you need to mind your step

Dar Bhija was beautiful and had the most lovely staff. The received is with a warm welcome and some delicious tea. They were always keen to help out with anything you need. You can book a taxi to or from the airport for 22€ and they even let us leave our bags there for the last day. The breakfast was good, you get yogurt, bread, eggs,cheese, jam and coffee or tea. One of the mornings we had an early tour and they kindly prepared a bag for us to take with us. The room we stayed in was very nice, it had two single beds and air conditioning (which was lovely because it was so hot). We had a shared bathroom that was very clean. I recommend this accommodation to anyone who would like to stay in Fez for a few nights and feel the hospitality of Moroccan people.

The building is architecturally beautiful and is visually/aesthetically well maintained. The place is also quiet and mattresses were more comfortable than others we tried in Morocco. Ahmed, the owner, was available via whatsapp to answer any questions (this property works basically like an airbnb, rather than a more formal hotel, so there isn't anyone around generally, apart from a housekeeper in the morning, who prepares breakfast and does the cleaning).

1. The smell on the ground floor was bad and in the bedroom and bathroom even worse. It was nauseating on the first night in the bedroom. It became more bearable only by leaving the AC and bathroom vent on all the time to help reduce dampness and sewage smells. 2. Somebody entered our room twice without our consent, without even notifying us, to turn off the AC in the bedroom and the vent in the bathroom, which was absolutely unacceptable. 3. The owner would generally deny issues or be very sruprised by them. When we confronted him about the fact that someone entered our room without our permission, he first denied that anyone had access to the room, then he said he had security cameras and he was sure nobody entered the room, eventually, when we said we knew for sure someone had entered our room not only because the AC was off, but because also the bathroom vent was off, he said the housekeeper must have walked in, because it is unacceptable to keep the AC turned on 24/7. When we told him we left it on to mitigate the very bad smell in the bedroom and bathroom, he denied the smell. He also added that it is their right to enter the room whenever they want without informing us or asking for permission, which we clearly disagreed with. 4. The bed sheets had some hair and bread crumbles and we had to ask for the beds to be made again with clean sheets. 5. The hot water was scarcely available. The first night there was none and the following days you couldn't even finish a very short shower with hot water. We would always end up having to take a partly cold shower. 6. The shower flooded the bathroom, despite having the shower tray contained by a step. With the terrible dampness, the bathroom floor was constantly wet. 7. The sink has serious drainage issues. 8. The wifi internet was basically non-existent (measurements for the internet speed were 0.56-3.64 mbps for download/ 0.00-0.17 mbps for upload). 9.
