About this house rental
This charming vacation unit is located on lower level of a split house with a separate entrance. This unit features 2 queen beds, spacious closets, 2 attached bathrooms with bathtub/shower, hairdryers, AC units and WiFi, a spacious kitchen/dining (electric range, dish washer, rice cooker, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, Primo water dispenser) and private laundry unit. Location: This family home is located in the vicinity of Indian Creek farm; within 10 minutes from Cornell University, Taughannock fall, Cayuga Lake, Ithaca Downtown, Trumansburg and most of the scenic trails in Ithaca; also 2 minutes from Cayuga Medical Center. Also located within 25 minutes drive from Watkins Glens. Fire pit/barbecue: There is a beautiful fire pit area along with 2 huge picnic tables in backyard (with motion sensor solar lights) behind the carport which is designated for the guests. Guests must bring their own firewoods or charcoal for the camp fire or barbecue. Unfortunately, we do not provide firewoods or charcoal. However, guests are more than welcome to use the available firewoods in the area.

While I was nervous at first because of a previous review that I saw after booking, I am pleased to say that there were no problems with my stay. When contacted by Breezy with check in instructions I was informed that the location was newly renovated to include 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, that the parking space has just been upgraded to be able to fit 2 large vehicles, and that if there was not a tenant currently there was always touch ups being done to improve the quality of the stay, I was also informed that there was on call maintenance if there were any problems, thankfully there were no issues to be had. I really liked that I was so close to Ithaca proper, and within minutes of both Cass and Taughannock parks, both had wonderful hiking trails. The review that I had seen seems to have been wildly exaggerated. Not only was there a primo water dispenser but the water out of the sink was perfectly drinkable, there was no sulfur smell at all. The apartment was on the lower level and the entrance was less than 2 parking spaces away from the parking area, with a keyless entry for the door. The coffee station in the spacious and well stocked kitchen and included washer and dryer were greatly appreciated. I will definitely book my next visit with the Specchio House.
