Silva Retreat Villa

Spacious house, good for big groups. Location is great, really enjoyed our stay. Great location - 15 minutes away from Santana traditional houses, 20-30 mins away from the beach, 30 mins away from Funchal.

There’s some areas of the house that needs minor repair. Does not affect our stay though.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Silva Retreat in São Jorge, Madeira. The country house was spacious, very comfortable, and immaculately clean. It perfectly balances charm and authenticity, being a traditional village home that still feels modern and welcoming. The location couldn’t be better – tucked away from the busy tourist hubs, making it the ideal place to rest and recharge, while still being just a short drive from beautiful hikes and stunning beaches. One of the highlights was using the traditional Portuguese-style barbecue in the evenings to prepare espetada and enjoy it outside with a glass of excellent local wine – such a memorable and authentic experience. This house really offers the chance to experience Madeira island in a genuine way. On top of that, the hosts at Relax Stay were fantastic – always quick to respond, extremely helpful, and full of great advice to make the most of our trip. I couldn’t recommend Silva Retreat enough for anyone looking for a peaceful, authentic, and truly special holiday in Madeira.

Adorámos a estadia! A casa é linda, muito acolhedora e tinha tudo o que precisávamos. O local é super tranquilo, perfeito para descansar e recarregar energias. Alugámos um carro e em poucos minutos estávamos na cidade ou a explorar outras partes da ilha. Sem dúvida recomendamos e esperamos voltar!

What an amazing place to stay! It’s perfect if you are looking for calmer place on Madeira - out of crowded touristic areas. Absolutely best place for chilling in nature village area. House is very big, comfortable and fresh. Owners are helpful. Highly recommended! We will be back soon!
