Maria was a fantastic host; she clearly communicated instructions before our arrival. She also promptly helped us with a minor issue we had with our shutters. The room is really spacious and also has a small kitchen with a fridge and a hob. The balcony has a lovely view over a small valley and the sea; we used it often. Evening was the best time in town when day travellers left and it’s nice and quiet around.

An absolutely amazing place in the heart of a village made up of small, ancient thatched-roof houses! The owner is very welcoming and attentive. She values ​​this special place with its unique family history and always welcomes guests interested in its historical spirit! The apartment is very cozy. The bedroom has a comfortable mattress and a soft, cozy bed. There is everything you need for a comfortable home, but most importantly, the silence! Sitting with a cup of coffee on the terrace in the afternoon sun and listening to the pristine silence of Santana, one of the most beautiful places in Madeira, is an absolutely unforgettable joy! Thank you very much to the owners of this preserved miracle!

The apartment is modern, functional, very clean, and really nice in every detail. Maria, the owner, welcomes her guests so warmly and she certainly maskes this stay an unforgettable experience.

Siamo capitati a Santana in un paio di giorni piovosi e umidi e abbiamo sentito la mancanza di asciugamani asciutti quando tornavamo la sera o per la doccia del mattimo, e di una stanza da bagno un pò tiepida. Il sistema di condizionamento/riscaldamento è posizionato all'estremità della stanza opposta al bagno e il calore non riesce ad arrivare fino al bagno. Suggeriamo di mettere uno scalda-asciugamani o una stufetta nel bagno da utilizzare nelle giornate più umide e fredde. We happened to be in Santana on a couple of rainy/damp days and we would have appreciated a warmer bathroom when taking the shower: Therefore we suggest to add a stove or whatever system to make the bathroom warmer on wet days.
