The peaceful nature around the place was the perfect break from the busy city life. The owner was super helpful — they gave us clear check-in instructions and even sent pictures so we wouldn’t get confused. The place was very clean, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. The little unique touches also made it feel really special and one of memorable.

Everybody shared the same bathroom.

I really appreciated the fact that the host, Tiaan was very much helpful when we were struggling with the location of the guest house, he went over board to assist us and make our stay as comfortable as can be. Would definitely go book at his establishment again should we be at the area.

Spacious house, great TV, beautiful mountains with trails and a dam for the dogs to swim in.

As I was travelling with 2 big dogs, I wanted an enclosed garden. Before booking, I called Tiaan to find out if there were free roaming animals as my 1 dog will bite them. He said there were geese but he would remove them. When I arrived after dark, the geese (8) and about 8 chickens were wandering around. Anyway, my dogs had to stay indoors for the entire 4 days. I tried to get out of the booking but had no support from Booking.com and the owner then lied and turned it around saying to B.Com that I knew there were going to be geese there, which made the rest of the stay most unpleasant. Everyday there were staff working in the workshop which shares a wall with the main bedroom and is next to the pool, so there were power tools, loud voices and general noise most of the day, this was also on Christmas day and Boxing Day. And who wants to swim when there are workers 5 metres away, no privacy. Water...either boiling or cold and randomly goes off. There is a note explaining this. You need to leave your shower or teeth brushing and go to the kitchen to reset a switch. This happened at least 3 times. Finally the house is not bad but the outside has poles and rubble, weeds, devil thorns, holes and ALOT of goose shit. My dogs were probably safer inside. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone ever.
