How spacious the house is great for a big family.

It is a huge well equipped house within 10 minutes drive of the Addo Elephant Park South Gate. There is a supermarket and restaurant across the street from the property and it has a view of the Sondagsriver. It had everything we need for a comfortable stay.
We had a great stay. I can't think of anything to improve.

Spacious for large groups, but short on cutlery and kitchen utensils for large groups, many fixtures were broken and some walls need to be cleaned for hygienic purposes in the bathrooms.
Its been almost a week since we have been there and I have held back these comments. We have travelled vastly abroad as well as in SA using booking.com never had any issues.
We were so appalled by how Grant Du Perez, the owner and host treated us when we arrived. Welcoming guests is with good intentions but not the way he “Mansplained” the usual things of a house as if we were delinquent’s and incompetent, leaving there stating quite passive-aggressively “Leave the house tidy hey!” as if we were a bunch of teenagers after stating that my family including grandparents will be joining. We are professionals about to enjoy a family vacation.
What upset us was that the house is advertised as a 6 bedroom place, after counting the beds realizing it can sleep up to 15 people. We did not mind having to pay EXTRA when we arrived, it was the way my invoice appeared stating I had paid for the entire house. When enquiring with Grant over the phone to just confirm and stating as a guest that he should perhaps change the description on booking.com to not confuse people, he abruptly stated “I am obviously not getting through to you and I will come through from PE to the house and lock up the extra rooms because I cannot get through to you”
Again, money was not the issue, it’s how he treated us as guests made us feel as if we delinquent’s and incompetent to understand.
