Enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend.

A spacious apartment and very comfortable. The reclining armchairs were a nice surprise and proved very popular! Breakfast next door was great. The host Rachel was very helpful and brought whatever we needed.

Oven was tricky to use as all the markings have disappeared due to over cleaning. A manual or a photo of the original markings would have been useful. There is also an air fryer though.

Fantastic Riverside view apartments A1

Rachael was an exceptional host. Her communication was excellent and she was very understanding about our visit. She made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was stress free and special. I cannot begin to thank her enough for that. The apartment was fantastic with a lovely large lounge/ dining area and lovely bedrooms. The whole place was modern and spotlessly clean. Then there was breakfast. Wow! Rachael should be so proud of her bakery. It was fantastic and we bought lots of cakes to take with us for a treat for when we got home. I would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends and family. Thank you, Rachael.

Friendly welcome in the cafe, really comfortable property for family of 5. Great sofa and comfy beds. Breakfast next day in the cafe was fantastic.

Host was very friendly. The breakfast was amazing! A good amount of choice and cooked to a great standard. The cake counters sells fabulous cakes. Staff were all lovely and friendly and helped to get us seated as soon as possible even when they were already really busy. Was able to park right outside the front door each evening, but would have been equally happy to park in the carpark round the back. Great location for visiting local points of interest - Beamish Museum, Durham etc

Very minor things - the kitchen had no bin and some of the floor units looked like they had been chewed by dogs. A couple of the rooms had radiators which didn't work (bathroom and double bedroom), this was ok for us and didn't affect our stay, but it could be abit tricky once the cold weather arrives.

Best Apartment in town

Beautiful and big apartment, right next door to our favourite cafe. The bed was very comfortable. The apartment had everything needed to make you feel at home. Just wish we had been able to stay longer.

The oven was a little hard to figure out as the symbols had rubbed off but eventually got it to work, having a diagram/instructions for that would have been helpful. But that was a very minor issue as we were only staying one night.

The whole experience far exceeded our expectations

Spacious ground-floor apartment with stylish furniture, massive TV and incredibly comfortable beds. The two spotlessly clean bathrooms have high quality fitments, fluffy towels, bathrobes and abundant hot water. The kitchen area is fully equipped with appliances and basic provisions (tea, coffee, sugar, milk, etc.) Plenty of on-street parking in front of the apartment or a dedicated car-park at the rear. The crowning glory to this accommodation are the friendly hosts in the very popular adjoining bakery and café where they serve probably the best breakfast in the whole of the North-East. The cakes and pastries are both a feast for the eyes and the stomach.

Not an issue - just an observation that there are no locks on the bathroom doors!

Everything! The apartment was spotless, spacious and comfortable and the lady that welcomed us was really lovely, making sure we had everything that we needed. Breakfast at the cafe was delicious, as were the cakes we brought home with us. We were a family of 4 visiting for a wedding and we all wished we could stay a bit longer, it’s a beautiful area.
