Alegria Living in Central Lisbon

Summer time can be difficult in Lisbon, as A/C isn’t really needed any other time. Unfortunately, we experienced this just as the big heat wave ripped through Europe. Yes, there are two fans provided, and the temps at night do drop. However, a quick glimpse outside show A/C attached to other units. Again, only for summer does this suck a little. It’s my fault for not reading the details of the unit better for not having A/C. Otherwise, I’m sure it’s a wonderful stay through other seasons. The unit itself was very clean, has everything an apartment would typically have. It didn’t come with any water in the fridge, but a quick run around the corner street had plenty of smaller markets. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the cubby for the cups and glasses emit a strange moldy smell. We didn’t use any of the glassware because of this, luckily we had our own bottles and cups. Caution, the piping for the “hot” side of the shower gets extremely hot, even when the water is set to warm. Be careful not to touch the pipe leading to the handle. Resting a toothbrush or sponge on it quickly heated up. Getting in and out is very easy, plenty of walkable places and activities to do from that location. Uber rides didn’t have a problem getting to/from the unit. Since the unit is only one level above ground, you can hear activities from the street; sometimes cars and/or people.

La Ubicación

Por el precio que pagas la casa debería tener aire acondicionado. Lisboa es una ciudad muy calurosa y es difícil entender cómo no tiene un split de aire acondicionado aunque sea para enfriar la casa. En los meses de verano con dos ventiladores solamente no se puede dormir bien porque la casa está calentándose durante todo el día.

La Ubicación y el tamaño del apartamento

Dos cosas no me gustaron 1 .- cuando llegamos a la hora indicada 14:00 estaban empezando la limpieza del apartamento y nos tuvimos que ir a dar una vuelta. 1 No me gustó el baño. Es muy pequeño. La Ducha incómoda , con un escalón muy alto.Y no poder tirar el papel higiénico en el Inodoro es un incordio.

El baño un poco chico y los estantes de la cocina tenían un olor a humedad que era absorbido por líos vasos y platos
