Well designed for my needs. The room is well-sized, warm, and the kitchen is equipped with basic utensils.
The bathroom is large but badly maintained (mould on the floor)
-The room was very dirty when I arrived. I complained and although I submitted photographs of the conditions, there was no reaction. Following a second email (24 hours later) I was offered a 10-pound refund. Really-not acceptable!
-Keys picked up and dropped off five minutes walk away. At 4am and carrying luggage it felt very unsafe. When i emailed management, they were unwilling to offer alternatives or simplify this process.
So great accommodation but such glitches were unpleasant and really unnecessary.

Excellent value. The rooms are decent and everything worked as it should have. Decent kitchen space and big bathroom. Very quiet for student accommodation. Room was warm enough even though it was below zero outside.
Only minor niggles. The bathroom light works on a motion sensor and is very bright so if you need to use the bathroom at night you get blinded. There are also lots of small lights in the kitchen/bedroom that you can't turn off. I stayed in winter when it was very cold out. The heater kept the room warm enough but it used a fan that was very loud overnight, so it was a choice between letting the room go cold or sleeping with a loud fan on.
I would stay again though.

This is one of the best stays I ever had in the Uk. This property is suitable for students which is prepared for everything that students need to focus on their studies while they can relax,enjoy free-time at the lobby. I liked everything about this stay including the staff who are keep asking me about my stay and If I needed anything. Not only that,even After I left the property they were communicating and responding to my inquiries. It is rare to find such humble and professional staff. I never felt such a warm and welcoming behavior like this one. Thank you for making this stay exceptional at Straits Manor.
Not at all. Had little problem at the bathroom that was not serious. However,they fixed it within hours of reporting.
