Excellent pied-a-tierre a short walk from the city centre

The room is compact and well-appointed. There's a big desk and small meal table and a low coffee table, a small 2-seater couch, kitchen area and a bed tucked away between a walk-in wardrobe and the wall. It has pretty much everything you could need. The small bathroom is separate off a small hall by the front door. You are in a residential street near a main road and it is a short walk into the city centre.

The room itself was great. There were two towels on the back door of the bathroom which hadn't been folded and it was tricky to see if they had been properly washed or not, and even if they had they were too small to be proper towels for after a shower. I'd say there should either be better towels left out folded or a recommendation for guests to fetch their own. The parking wasn't clear either. There is an underground car park for the block, which I thought I might be able to park in but it didn't look welcoming so I called the hosts and they said not to park there and directed me out to the main road instead. I found a space there, but it was fairly full so I think I was lucky. I think the parking instruction could be clearer on the website - presumably I could have got an expensive ticket if I'd gone into the underground car park by mistake.

Very easy check-in and decent location as it’s only a 10 minute walk from Sheffield Station. The flat is decorated nicely and is very spacious!

I think the property needs more maintenance as around the walls and furniture there were a lot of scuffs, marks and cracks. The shower was a little mouldy and the towels were very dusty and triggered my dust allergy so bad. The pillows are incredibly uncomfortable and rock solid because was like two ultra thin pillows stuffed in one pillow case. The swing was coming apart at the top so I didn’t dare go on it lest I lost my £100 (!!!) deposit. I think this place just needs some TLC!

Staff is a nice gentleman but I am terrified about the security and property maintanence

1.Toilet sink leaking(drainage pipe) nonstop in midnight after use;2.Loud cry of girls, banging noise midnight in surroundings (why is it their fault? Because the window is broken); 3. Dirty bed bites every second and not seems to be washed.4.Dirty mat under sofa. The staff called and told about security deposit after initial payment collected with no prior indication. I paid £100 in that and received it back after leaving-thanks to him but this property worth £20 for stay and definitely not £50 or above. Overpriced and absolutely no safety if door is broken by others since main door of apartment is broke and always loose and opened! Staff was really nice explaining about criminals stayed and spoiled their previous property incident hence requested for id proof. Hats off to him but why staying in a criminal's broken property,knowing that room key replaced since one key is with a criminal by the look of it(who knows). Most reviews are 100% fake in this site about their top reviews. Pls see photos attached. Booking dot com does nothing despite all these-but be careful if you are reading the reviews. Most will praise them but never be true.

It was a very lovely stay, the host was great and overall it was definitely worth it.

I really liked how cosy this apartment was, it had all so many facilities and was perfect for a solo traveler like me. The area is lovely and is walking distance from the train and coach station. It was very cheap for how good the stay was, definitely worth it.

There could have been more products such as soap, shampoo, etc as there was only a mens body wash and shampoo, but for how cheap it was I didn’t expect it.

I couldn't stay at this property because the host was so rude and unkind to me on the phone. This happened when I called to enquire why I was asked to make deposit outside of my payment. His customer service is on a zero. I paid a visit to Sheffield so as to see my mum that has been ill and I explained this to him. He shouted at me and warned me never to call his phone again. I struggle with my mental health and this caused me an episode. I called Booking to report the incident and how unprofessional and badly I was treated. I was assured that I would get my refund back. However, they contacted this owner and he declined to issue me a waiver of my payment which meant that the still had the place. The host never contacted me to let me know when the key would be ready for collection. 24hrs later, he recorded that I cancelled my reservation. I can't believe hosts are professionally allowed to bully guests on Booking. I am completely disappointed at the way booking allowed myself to be treated. I struggle with my mental health and it's disappointing to know that booking doesn't not care about their customers' wellbeing.

The property was where it was supposed to be.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU DONT HAVE A UK BANK ACCOUNT. I was forced to pay a deposit of €120. I was told it would be returned within 24 hours. Finally almost 2 weeks after my stay and after informing Booking.com, the property reluctantly returned €111.99. I was informed that the €8.01 retained was international bank charges. Thoroughly unprofessional behaviour. I personally would not trust this property again.

Mixed experience but definitely would return. i liked the apartment 8. I just know to bring a kettle.

Beautifully presented. Good location.

Someone took my key so check in was horrible and made me late for a meeting. Also, there was no kettle. I bought fresh coffee beans and had my grinder and aeropress and no kettle. I did feel to boil a pan of water. in 2022 even dingy little guest houses put a kettle in the room.

absolutely fantastic with great communication from the host. definitely would stay again.

The property smelt Devine when I entered which easily put me at ease. i had a work event and just needed a base to get changed and get back to the evening do. Netflix was already on the telly it was cosy and they had basic utensils which I did wonder if I needed to bring a corkscrew but it was already there. It was so clean and dainty. hosts were fantastic. The £100 deposit was asked for but I had already read previous reviews so expected this. i got it back straight away too so no issues at all. thank you for having me.

the bathroom lock came off and had my colleague not popped in to be nosey at where I was staying I would have been stuck or had it been a child then! This was the only downside. certainly wouldn’t put me off staying again.

Cheap, okay facilities. Central location. Unadvertised last minute £100 deposit

There were some good facilities

We were asked to send £100 security deposit by bank transfer, on the morning before our stay and told we couldn't check in without it. There was no information anywhere about a deposit prior to this and the host was very defensive when questioned about this. It was also fairly difficult to get the deposit back
