Lots of steps to access the property, nearest cafe is a fair walk away too. You need the steps to get the amazing view though!

The location was perfect, but just a heads-up: there are about 100 steps up to the parking area, which is the only access point to the unit. Alternatively, you can take roughly 200 steps down to reach the shops and restaurants below.

The views are great, having a bbq was also a plus, the bed was large and comfy and the shower was very good. St James is a very pretty area as is Simons Town. The pool looked great we did not use it as it was too cold as it was winter, Im sure in summer it will be great

The views from the apartment are great, but the stairs were a major problem for us. Accessing the property requires climbing a steep, long flight of steps to go up the where we had the car parked which lacks a handrail for the some of the steps, Because there was no outdoor lighting at night, navigating them with large suitcases was a real struggle and felt quite unsafe. There are even more stairs leading down to the beach and high street, which we chose not to attempt, as far as I could see there no handrails at all going down to the beach. According to the description there about 200 steps from the apartment down to the beach and 90 steps from the apartment up to the road where you park you car. Inside, the apartment has a studio layout (a bed with a kitchen) and no separate living room. There is also no TV, though that was my mistake for not noticing its absence in the property description. I wouldn't have booked a 6-night stay had I realized. If you are young and/or agile, and traveling with light hand luggage, this place would be fine, but it was not suitable for our needs.
