Little Paradise

Little Paradise is exactly that. First, the location in the authentic and thriving village of Sotira, which has several top class restaurants, is perfect for access to the coast, but far enough away to feel like the real Cyprus. The house and garden are perfect and extremely comfortable and spacious. There is a sunny terrace outside the front door, as well as a shady seating area among the trees in the beautiful garden for when the sun is too strong. Katarina is a natural & gifted host. She left local wine in the fridge, as well as delicious apricots from her trees. She also gave us eggs from her hens, homemade biscuits, and showed me where to pick my own lemons from the tree. The house is beautifully decorated with traditional Cypriot crafts and wonderfully cool. Her English is excellent, and she is extremely warm and friendly. If you are looking for an authentic Cypriot experience in a perfectly relaxing and elegant environment, you cannot go wrong with Little Paradise.

There was absolutely nothing I disliked about Little Paradise. I would go back tomorrow for a month if I could.

Some road noise

No keybox here – Katerina will welcome you in person with her warm, simple, and genuine manners. We truly wish we had booked more days. There’s no check-in procedure: when you arrive, Katerina greets you with quiet kindness and shows you around the apartment. The house has just been renovated – it's clean, comfortable, and has everything you might need. Filled with lace doilies and vintage furniture, it amplifies the feeling of being on a countryside holiday at grandma’s – just like my wife remembers from her childhood. Outside, there's a courtyard where you can easily park under a flower-covered pergola. The owners’ house overlooks the same space, and nearby there's a chicken coop – it all feels like a little farmhouse. Katerina will surprise you with her discreet presence. Every now and then we’d find small gifts left on the windowsill: homemade jams from freshly picked seasonal fruit – for us it was loquat and small, delicious apricots. She also brought us fresh apricots, eggs, a dessert called maxalepi we had never heard of before, and even a kind of slow-cooked meat with potatoes. People often overuse the word “authentic” – but if there’s a place where it truly applies, it’s here. Thank you, Katerina, for making our stay so special – we hope to return one day!
