The Lovely Gem

This is the true greek experience. You are in the city center with all the beautiful blue and white houses, including this one which is amazing! We love the house, the decoration, the small details like coffee, chocolats and tosts with jam available in the kitchen. The box with first aid kit was also a small detail very helpful because one of us got hurt on the beach and we used to desinfect the hound. All the amenities in the bathroom were also a great gift. I will never forget this stay and the peace and quiet that we enjoy in the balcony with sea view. Would love to come back. Please take into consideration that are a lot of stares to get to the apartment so people with disability or big luggage can have some hard time.

The host, Alexia, was amazing! She was a great communicator and even helped us with our suitcases when we got to the set of stairs leading to the home. The home itself was great, a lovely kitchen, dining and lounge area. There were 3 balconies in total that I still wish I was sitting out on. The calmness you feel around you is priceless, and the views are beautiful. There was a bathroom downstairs with a shower and the washing machine. The aircons worked well in both the living room and main bedroom. There was no aircon in the second bedroom, however there was a great fan that even had a remote so you can control it from the bed! The location was great in terms of being high enough up to see the water but also not so high where you want to go back down halfway through. We were able to walk up and around to a restaurant from the home that I really recommend you go to called Castello.

We used the downstairs bathroom more than the upstairs one, especially for showers, as that one is quite small. Getting up to the home was a shock in the very beginning, the stairs don't make it that accessible but absolutely so worth it once you're there and you get more and more used to the climb each time you do it.

Lovely house, well equipped and sensitely renovated. Nice host who met us at a nearby restaurant. very nice location in pretty part of the old town. The house has 3 outside balconies or patios which have gorgeous views.

The steps up to house are very steep which is fine for us but not with heavy luggage! I would recommend getting a taxi from the port with your luggage, I think this might avoid most of the hills but not sure if you would still have climb the steps. Maybe there is a back way the the taxi can come up, not sure.
