Abov Acropolis has an excellent location and is one of its biggest strengths. It is conveniently situated between Syntagma and Monastiraki Metro stations, both of which are about a 5–7 minute walk away. The Acropolis and other major attractions are within walking distance, making it a great base for exploring Athens. There are also plenty of restaurants, cafés, shops, and markets right outside the hotel, which adds to the convenience. A useful tip for future guests arriving from the airport: it is easier to get off at Syntagma Station rather than Monastiraki, especially if you have luggage. The hotel is downhill from Syntagma and uphill from Monastiraki, making the walk from Syntagma much more comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They assisted us with arranging a taxi to the airport and also provided luggage storage, which was very convenient. Unfortunately, the rooms did not meet our expectations. The rooms were quite small, and in our first room there were several maintenance and housekeeping issues. The bathroom door would not lock properly, there was water overflowing from the washbasin area, and the electric kettle was not clean. We requested a room change, which the staff arranged promptly, but the second room also had some basic issues that suggested the property could benefit from better upkeep and attention to detail. Overall, the hotel is a good option for a short stay because of its outstanding location and helpful staff. However, the room quality and maintenance issues may make it less suitable for a longer stay, especially for travelers looking for more comfort and space.
